New Catalog Case Card ~ for you

Here is a card that I case'd from page 55 of the new 2009 Spring/Summer Idea Book & Catalog. I changed the colors from Old Olive, Baja Breeze, and Certainly Celery to Riding Hood Red, Pretty in Pink & Pink Pirouette. Instead of Garden Greetings, I used the Petal Pizazz stamp set. It was also the first time I used my new Circle Scissors Plus cutter:)

I gave this card to Paula, one of my customers, who drives an hour out of her way to attend my stamping events. The best part of being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator is, truly, spending time with wonderful people!

Stamps: Petal Pizazz, All Holidays
Paper: Riding Hood Red, Whisper White CS, Riding Hood Red patterned prints
Ink: Ruby Red, Pretty in Pink, Pink Pirouette
Other: Circle Metal Edge Tags, Riding Hood Red 5/8" striped grosgrain, Circle Scissors Plus, Glass cutting mat, Pop Up Glue Dots

Even More from the Valentine Treats Camp

What a surprise this was! One of my customers, Sheila, that attended the Valentine Treats camp brought these darling little white mailboxes for each of my kids and for each one of the stampers that attended the Valentine Treats camp! "Aunt" Sheila (this is what she goes by, because she spoils us) found these little tin boxes at the Dollar Spot at Target...what a find:) I worked on altering them with some scraps while the gals were assembling their treat bags. Thanks again, Sheila...you are the sweetest:)

A Little Fun Challenge from Teresa

I have been challenged to another "fun" challenge. Teresa (aka: va.sunshine) challenged me to this: Go to where you store your photos on your computer. Go to the SIXTH folder and pick the SIXTH photo. Post that photo on your blog along with a SHORT story about it. Tag SIX people and leave a comment on their blog or email them letting them know you chose them.

This is the 6th photo that appeared in the 6th photo file. I had to laugh out loud when I saw the kids' silly faces. The picture was taken at the entrance of our subdivision on "Christmas card picture day", which was a a very cold, windy day in early December. After the kids had posed for several shots while freezing in the cold wind and I had enough shots to (hopefully) pick to include our Christmas card, I told the kids they could make a silly face. So, this was their last pose just before racing back to the car and out of the wind.

The bloggers I am extending the challenge to are:
1. Jenn
2. Julie
3. Tara
4. Jessica
5. Cindy
6. Lori

HELP! My blog is broken!

Not sure what's going on with some of my blog images, but hopefully I will find out soon! My blog header/title, family photo, and siggy are gone! If anyone has suggestions as to what the problem is or how to fix it, it would be greatly appreciated:)

Jewelry Color Inspiration #21

Anyone who knows me also knows that have an obsession for stamping and for JEWELRY! I enjoy participating in other stamping challenges and want to share the fun by offering my own weekly Jewelry Color Inspiration challenge. The challenge will be posted each Sunday and will include a jewelry photo along with the link to the website where I found it.

If you want to play along, simply make a paper project (card, scrapbook page, or 3D item) that includes the colors indicated with the jewelry piece. (If you don't have the exact colors, just use ones that are similar:) Then, submit your creation to me by Saturday, Jan. 31st at 11:59 P.M. using the Mr. Linky box at the end of this posting. You may also wish to post your photo at Splitcoaststampers.com using the keyword JCI.

Those of you who participate in the challenge will receive recognition the following Sunday...so what are you waiting for...join the fun! I can't wait to see what you come up with!

When I first saw this necklace, Satsuma, I knew that it was definately the jewelry pick for this week's Jewelry Color Inspiration #21. I couldn't resist the bold color and fun texture of the spirals and glass beads together! Satsuma is a piece from Licia Beads and handmade by a designer from Washington state.

To inspire you further, here's a simple card that I whipped up with some scraps of designer series paper and several different circle punches. Sometimes, I find these simple layouts refreshing with few layers very refreshing:)

Stamps: Congrats
Paper: Baja Breeze CS, various DSP
Ink: Baja Breeze

I was finally able to add the Mr. Linky widgit to my blog! Yay! Thanks for the help, Karen! There were a few projects posted before I added Mr. Linky, so I added the first few names/urls for them:)
