OMGosh! My friend, Heather, had coffee this weekend at our local Bean Counter, and found some fabulous new jewelry called Lalo. This wrap bracelet, called Snapshots found at a website called Fashion & Jewelry Line, is one that Heather was drawn to, but ended up getting a different design. I walked away with a couple of new pieces, too. This jewelry is so cool because it looks like glass and you would think it is heavy, but on the contrary! The jewelry, even though, it's extremely ornate...it is soooo light-weight and easy to wear. You can view more of Orna Lalo's creations at Lalo Stores.

In honor of Memorial Day, I picked a jewelry piece that included our country's proud colors. Wearing a necklace like this is one way to show off your patriotism in a dazzling red, white and blue way! The designer, Marie Fiedrich at
Cerca Trova etsy shop
, used these handmade artisan red, white and blue lampwork beads with round sterling silver beads to make a necklace with a statement.

Last week was Memorial Day here in the ole' US of A... and my card is a tribute to all of those veterans who have devoted and sacrificed their lives for the freedom of our blessed country. The layout of my card was inspired by the Monday Mojo Sketch #88

Sock Monkey ~ SFYTT & FCCC

I combined a couple of challenges for this card...the Sketch For You To Try on I (Heart) to Stamp and From Courtney's Closet #42 on Libby's Little Addiction. It's Libby's One Year Anniversary for the challenges using her little girl's outfits as inspiration!

I definately need more practice with my new circle cutter...I think I went through 4 sheets of cardstock and I'm still not happy with my circles. Anyway, I do love the color combination of pink, vanilla, and cocoa...and Mr. Sock Monkey is stinkin' cute! Don't look to close at the coloring or circle cutting:)

Stamps: Sock Monkey

Thanks So Much ~ FTL43 & CTD43

This may be my new favorite color combination...Lavender Lace, Elegant Eggplant & Old Olive from the Color Throwdown #43. The clean & simple Fall-To Layout #43 worked well with my vase of blooms, too!

Stamps: Trendy Trees (greeting)
Paper: Taste of Textiles DP, Whisper White, Lavender Lace, Old Olive & Elegant Eggplant CS
Ink: Elegant Eggplant
Other: Big Shot, Birds & Blooms and Little Leaves sizzlets, Ice Circle Rhinstone brads, Crafters Tool Kit, Wide Oval punch, Stampin' Dimensionals

Good For You ~ RSCC7 & TPE

I combined Dawn McVey's Raspberry Suite Color Challenge #7 with The Pink Elephant Sketch Challenge with this card. Dawn's colors in her beautiful photograph are Raspberry, Artichoke & Celery.

My Big Shot got some great use with this card. I used the sizzlet dies to create the bouquet of flowers and leaves with the Birds & Blooms, and Little Leaves sizzlets. I love those darling flower shapes that mimic a button look! Notice the color spritzing on the vase that was punched with a Wide Oval punch with the top cut off and placed as a base of the vase. To wrap the ribbon through the book-style card, I cut a sliver of the fold to slide the ribbon into and tie to the front.

Stamps: Really Retro
Paper: Certainly Celery, Always Artichoke, Rose Red, Pink Passion, Very Vanilla CS
Ink: Always Artichoke, Certainly Celery Stampin' Write Markers
Other: Color Spritzer, Coluzzle, Certainly Celery 5/8" Grosgrain, Rich Regals brads, Big Shot, Birds & Blooms, Little Leaves Sizzlets, Stampin' Dimensionals

Head on over to Anthonette's blog and let her know how sweet her little boy is! The sketch I used is from Karen Giron's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #19 and she has a fun bonus to share!
