"You've Got a Friend in Me" Sticky Note Holder & Pen

How cute is this! Tomorrow is our last day of school before Spring break, so I made this little sticky note holder & altered pen for each of the teachers that I work with.

The acrylic photo frames, Pentel RSVP pens & sticky note pads came from Dollar General...so "cheep"...I mean cheap:) To alter the frames & pens, I used up some of the Sale-a-bration products that I had hanging around...the Darling Dots Designer Series Paper and the So Saffron Grosgrain from the Ribbon Bundle. Each of the note holder designs are the same except for the color of DSP and embellishments. The paper is placed in the holder where a photo would go. Some grosgrain ribbon was wrapped around the outside of the frame and tied into a square knot. I used the Cheep Talk stamp set (love that little birdie) to create a simple embellishment layered on a scallop circle and paper pierced.

To see a great video on how to create your own Sticky Note Holder & Pen set, go to Dawn's Stamping Thoughts. Thanks, Dawn, for your "always-inspiring" projects:)

Stamps: Cheep Talk
Paper: Delicate Dots DSP, Pretty in Pink, Bashful Blue, So Saffron, Sahara Sand, Whisper White CS
Ink: Bashful Blue, Sahara Sand, So Saffron
Other: Scallop Circle, 1 3/8" Circle & 1 1/4" Circle punches, Crafters Tool Kit, Ribbon Bundle (SAB), Pop-Up Glue Dots, Sticky Strip, Stampin' Dimensionals
