happy birthday ~ MTSC60 & cQc19

For this birthday card, I used Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge #60 and as you can see I flipped the sketch to make a vertical card. I was excited to pair up Mercy's fantastic sketch with my friend's challenge, Arielle's ColourQ Challenge #19 using Regal Rose, Blush Blossom, Close to Cocoa, Chocolate Chip & Whisper White...beautiful combination of colors, don't you think?

The Regal Rose card base measures 3" X 6" and is layered with Chocolate Chip & Sweet Pea DSP. The trim at the top of the card is strip of Regal Rose punched with the Scallop Trim Punch, layered with Close to Cocoa and tied around with Chocolate Chip Satin Ribbon. The main panel and tage were stamped with the new Sale-a-bration set called Happy Moments, colored with Stampin' Write Markers, then blended with a blender pen before layering on Blush Blossom & Regal Rose cardstock. I wrapped up the bundle of packages with a piece of Linen Thread and attached a hand-cut tag, like a present topper. The embellishment was punched from cardstock using the Boho Blossoms Punch and put together using a new Chocolate Chip Epoxy brad from the Occasions Mini.

Stamps: Happy Moments
Paper: Regal Rose, Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa, Blush Blossom CS, Watercolor Paper
Ink: Black Stazon, Regal Rose, Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa, Blush Blossom & Sahara Sand Stampin' Write Markers
Other: Boho Blossoms & Scallop Trim Punch, Linen Thread, Blender Pen, Chocolate Chip Epoxy Brads & Satin Ribbon

Your work is just gorgeous Stacey! I'm going to have to come back here and make time to enter one of your challenges sometime! Congratulations on your iPICK too - I didn't realise I was also there until I saw your comment, so thank you for that! I'm feeling slightly dizzy from that wonderful shock tonight!

whoa, great minds think alike! I did something pretty similar to this on Wed (same stamp, similar colors, some same paper). It will go up on the blog on Sat. maybe I should put it in the contest even though it has green, since they are so same, same! :) Love yours!!!!!!!!

Oh duh- this one isn't actually a curtian call- you are just playing with color yourself. Well anyway, here is my creation that has some similar elements to yours (although yours is MUCH better)- http://kbstamps.blogspot.com/2010/02/feeling-inspired.html
