Artisan Award Entry #10 ~ Flower Topiary

For the final Artisan Award entry I created a flower topiary with loads of different flower die cuts, buttons, and linen thread bows. I straight-pinned the flowers onto a foam circle, attached it to a small dowel rod. The rod was inserted into another piece of foam within the plastic pot.

I stitched some fabric to cover the bottom portion of the topiary, then wrapped some yummy Old Olive Striped Grosgrain around the base of the pot and just under the flower top.

The Artisan Award entries were a TON of work and required a lot of supplies...but, the most disappointing part about not winning the award is that my projects will never be returned to me. Congrats to those who received the Artisan Award...it is well deserved!

Paper: variety of DSP
Other: Old Olive Striped Grosgrain, lots of flower dies and buttons, linen thread, sewing machine, fabric & thread
