It's another marvelous Monday...time for a new challenge at The Pink Elephant! This week, we have a technique challenge, TPE223, for you to use distressing/tearing on your project!
I adore the sketch over at My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge and couldn't wait to ink up those beautiful butterflies from MFT's Mona Pendleton Designs called MPD Winged Beauties, with coordinating dies!
I grabbed those fantastic Pierced Traditional Tag Stax Die-namics in my last order from MFT's October release...I also added the Medium Leafy Flourish Die-namics and used some MFT Wild Cherry ink for the beautiful butterfly!
The technique challenge called for some distressing today...here's what I did! I roughed up the edges of the main paper panel with a distressing tool by scraping it along the sides, then using my fingernail to create more tears. Another bit of distressing was created using some Gimmer Mist and spritzing it onto the white doily for an aged and worn effect.
Thanks so much for stopping by the stage today! Hope you'll try our technique out and play along at The Pink Elephant!
