Carta Bella - Yesterday Card Set

Hello, Carta Bella Paper fans!  I'm up on the Carta Bella Blog today with a greeting card set Yesterday Collection!

The Carta Bella Paper Yesterday Collection is loaded with feminine florals with an antique feel that brings back memories from the past!  The rich colors and nostalgic patterns of this collection are gorgeous and make for some beautiful projects!  When mixing patterns and colors, I strive to stick with 3 colors and several neutrals.  With this card set, the Yesterday Collection makes it EASY to mix and match.  The yellow, green and red make a beautiful trio of colors to work with.

How to add brads after card is adhered:
The Decorative Brads are fabulous to add as simple embellishments, but I often times don't add them until my card is adhered together.  For years, I have snipped the brad pieces off the backs with some heavy duty scissors and then glue on with a glue dot.  If those finicky brad pieces don't snip off well, just flatten them a little with your hammer.  Oh yes, remember the mini hammers that we once used to set eyelets on our paper projects!

Here is the supply list that I used to create this Yesterday Card Set Set!

Paper Trimmer
Scoring Tool
Hammer
Tape Adhesive
Foam Adhesive
Glue Dots

Directions:

1.  Cut apart desired 3" x 4" journal cards from the Yesterday Collection.

2.  Cut 4" x 5.25" background panels from a variety of coordinating papers in the Yesterday Collection.

3. Cut white card stock to 4.25" x 5.5" and score at 4.25" for folding in half.

4.  Stamp a variety of images and sentiments over the journal cards and other pieces of subtle and neutral papers.

5.  Adhere the background paper panels to the card fronts.

6.  Layer and adhere the journal cards as desired to the background panel with tape adhesive.

7.  Add some stickers and decorative brads from the Yesterday Collection in alternating color and pattern.

When creating with Carta Bella collections, it is simple to whip up several cards.  Having greeting cards on hand is a must, but this card set would also make a wonderful gift!  Hope you are inspired to create some greeting cards today using your favorite Carta Bella collections!

Thanks so much for stopping by the stage!
