Reverse Confetti August SFYTT - You Had Me at Aloha & a GIVEAWAY

Hey there, 'Fetti Fans!
It's time for the new August Sketch For You To Try!

Here are the REVERSE CONFETTI goodies that I used on today's card!

GIVEAWAY TIME!!!
I'm giving away one of my all-time favorite Reverse Confetti stamp sets!
Leave a comment sharing a testimony of faith in your life and have a chance at WINNING this beautiful stamp set, God Is Good!  The winner of the stamp set will be randomly selected on Wednesday, August 5th at midnight central.

My testimony.
Recently, my faith has been tested.  My mother has had some ongoing health issues that are difficult to manage.  I have been struggling with worry about her and feeling like I am not doing enough to help her.  She said to me just yesterday..."It's ok, Stacey.  God has me in the palm of his hand."  My mother is a prayer and faith warrior, through and through...and she teaches me this, even now.

Here's an up close look at my SFYTT card!  I used some fun tropical patterns of paper to create a summer fun project...summer is flying by WAY too fast for this teacher mom!
After stamping the pineapples from Pineapples Aplenty and die-cutting them from the coordinating Pineapples Aplenty Confetti Cuts, I layered them over a Tag Me, Too Confetti Cuts tag tied with some ribbon and twine.

Head on over to the Reverse Confetti Blog to see what the other gals have created for today!  There just might be some other GIVEAWAYS, too!

Thanks so much for stopping by the stage!

Take a look at what else I've been up to!

Love the bright cheery colours - such a fun card. Have lots of testimonies. Two recent ones include when my daughter was away for a two week trip to Europe and got sick the first day of the trip and then again mid way through. Was heart breaking talking to her on the phone as she was sobbing and just wanted to come home. We prayed on the phone many a time and had many others praying for her health and anxiety while away. Best comment from her: I know people are praying as I can feel God in a very real way :)

Second is from a year ago when I was beginning to think about looking for part time work after I closed my daycare due to my kids being in high school. Was at the chiros office and heard him say he had to review resumes. Asked him about it and said one of the girls was leaving to get full time work. I came home, talked to the family, sent in my resume before dinner and after dinner got an e-mail saying the job was mine if I wanted it. Such an amazing example of God's timing and faithfulness. I LOVE my job to this day and can't think of working anywhere else. Extra income is a huge blessing, not to mention a fabulous boss and a great job share partner.

The greatest testimony I have is when at 2 years old my daughter got asthma. She got so sick we had to take her to the hospital. At the time we had another baby at home so I stayed back and my husband went to the hospital with her. The doctors weren't sure she would survive the nigt. That's how bad it was. I remember I called my pastor and told him we needed prayers. He immediately called memberd of the church from around the Island (we live in Puerto Rico) and the battle started. Prayer warriors everywhere. I put it in God's hands. Meanwhile in the hospital my girl went into respiratory arrest. Doctors had to work on her to bring her back. Then she was sent to ICU. This all started at about 8 pm. At 2 am we were in ICU with her. I was permitted to stay with her. Dawn came and my daughter was still with us. In fact she had recovered so quickly she was sent to a regular room. By the next day we were out of the hospital and the doctor who tended to her said she had seen a miracle. That was 23 years ago and I still cry every time I tell the story. God is great.

This is as bright and cheerful and fun as a card gets! Fabulous stamps and wonderful paper choices.

I have kept your mother (and you) in my prayers. I so enjoyed meeting her in Chicago.

My mother is suffering from Alzheimer's and over the past 3 years I have come close to giving up and every time through prayer He has helped me get through this. It won't get better I know but I just hate to see her losing that light.

Cheery and happy card. God is good all the time and He promised to be with us, never forget us and He will always bring us through whatever we are going through at that time. We need to trust that He is the one in control.

My faith was greatly tested when my son was younger and had a severe speech delay. Some days I worried he would never be able to communicate correctly, but God brought him through that and he is now in 8th grade and thriving in accelerated classes! God is definitely good!

What a fun card, I love how the pink twine is used to separate the top and bottom parts :).

I love the Gog Is Good stamps. With a five year old grandson who was baptized at Easter, I think often of "letting his light shine", as it is part of our baptism liturgy. He's a great little boy, my husband's namesake. I recently used the God is Good sentiment on a Posted Note die cut for a friend who has been seriously ill. He's making progress but there's a lot of rough treatment still to go through. This stamp set will be so well used over the years.

I knew that when my kids were both in school I would need to go back to work. The question in my mind was how I would find a job that would allow me to have a similar schedule as my kids, especially summer off. In my mind I doubted that the Lord would provide that. But, God put me in my place by showing how He is in control always by providing a part time job at our public school! Not only do I have a job with a schedule similar to my kids but I still have time to craft & my job is also a huge ministry!
