SugarPea Designs - Foxy Friends

 Hello, SugarPea Designs friends!
I love this time of year...so ready for fall...warm days, cool and crisp nights!

This cutie fox from the Foxy Friend stamp set is just perfect to celebrate the beginning of fall!
LOVE him!  I say this all the time, I know...that SugarPea Designs make me giddy!  Why?!  There is a sweetness about our stamps that brings back childhood memories and leaves me reminiscing over my own and that of my children when they were small.  My heart skips a beat when I stamp with my SPD stamps...no joke!

I stamped Mr. Fox from Foxy Friend over some faded blue paper, shaded in the log with pencil, and fussy cut him and added a little red twine bow to his collar!  I stacked a few layers of some fabulous SugarCuts together to serve as a frame.  Then, the sentiments and leaf from Foxy Friend were stamped and stapled as a banner over the panel to finish off the card!

There are some other SugarCuts - Zig Zag Stitched Circles, Zig Zag Stitched Rectangles, and Notebook Journal Card give my card interest, texture, and dimension....LOVE these must-have SugarCuts!

Thanks so much for stopping by the stage!

SugarPea Designs - Creative Color Challenge #2

Hey there, SugarPea Designs friends!

I made this card for my boy, Ben, who is off on a Boy Scout camping trip this week.  It's all tucked inside a care package that he should get in a day or two, along with some of his favorite candies and treats.

There's a new Creative Color Challenge up and running over at the SugarPea Designs blog today!  Check out this gorgeous inspiration graphic and color palette!

To play along with the SugarPea Designs Creative Color Challenge, the rules are very simple…

  • Create a new card or project using the colors in the CCC#2.  SugarPea Designs stamps are NOT required to play along or to win but would be appreciated :).
  • Upload to your blog or other Online Gallery using Keyword: CCC2 so that we may check out your beautiful work.
  • Add your name and link to your project in the InLinkz shown below.
  • One randomly selected winner will receive a $10 Gift Certificate to the SugarPea Designs Online Shoppe. However, if the winning entry features a SugarPea Designs stamp we will increase the prize to $15
Here are the Sugar Pea Designs stamps and dies that I used on my card today!

I stamped the hombre image from the Let's Fiesta stamp set and left him uncolored for a cartoon look.    The SugarCuts - Heart Journal Card Set card became the main panel for the image with a SugarCuts - Polaroid Journal Card angled and peeking from behind a couple of Let's Fiesta stamped sentiment tags.  A bit of twine was added with a mini staple to finish off this fun card.

Thanks so much for stopping by the stage!
Head on over to the SugarPea Designs blog and see what the other SugarChics whipped up with today's color challenge!

Reverse Confetti - June SFYTT Recap

Hey there, Reverse Confetti lovers!
There's still time to play along with this month's Sketch For You To Try!

Feast your eyes on this awesome sketch!

Here are the awesome Reverse Confetti goodies I used on my card today, some new and some well-loved from previous releases!

Thank heaven for Confetti Cuts!  I let some of my favorite Reverse Confetti - Confetti Cuts take center stage on this card today!  With just a simple "hugs" sentiment from the I Like You stamp set, the other elements on the card are simply cut and adhered with foam squares.  The black/white striped Pina Colada - Quick Card Panel creates a super contrast and grounds the cluster of Love Note Confetti Cuts, Pretty Panels Triangles Confetti Cuts, Pineapples Aplenty Confetti Cuts and Stitched Flag Trio Confetti Cuts.  To finish off the card, I added a small twine bow to one of the pineapple leaf tops.

Head on over to the Reverse Confetti blog and see what the other designers have whipped up with the sketch today!

Reverse Confetti June Creative Hop - Hooray For You

Hey there, 'Fetti Fans!
Guess what today is!!!  Eight is GREAT....Reverse Confetti Creative Hop Day!

You should've arrived here by way of the crazy talented, Amber Hight!  If not, start at the beginning of the hop at the Reverse Confetti Blog.

Our blog hop theme for today is Masculine ABC (Anything But a Card)....

I wanted to make a project for my son and came up with this masculine card design that I liked....but, how to create the ABC part, I was a little stuck.  After chatting with Jen, she gave me the idea of transforming the card to a Genie Bag.  Check out the Genie Bag Tutorial at Splitcoaststampers.com...it's SO easy...and so awesome!

A card and gift ... all in one ... and GUESS WHO wrote up this tutorial!...Jen del Muro, ABC Genius!

Here are the fabulously fun Reverse Confetti goodies that I used on my GENIE BAG today!

After layering lots of fun papers and Confetti Cuts together, this is what I came up with.   The yellow dotted Pina Colada - Quick Card Panel was stacked with some angled paper panels and became the main frame for the cluster of Tag Me Confetti Cuts, Winning Confetti Cuts and a twine wrapped clip embellishment.  The sentiment from Winning was stamped in navy ink and finishes off the bottom of the framed panel.

You can see a bit of white tissue paper peeking out of the top of the Genie Bag, ready for an iTunes gift card, my son's favorite gift.

Now, you're off to the next stop on the blog hop, Kay Miller, our fabulous 'Fetti Friend.
Thanks so much for stopping by the stage!
