God's Promises - Verve Stamps Viva la Verve & Diva Dare

Hey there, Verve fans!

I'm up on both the Verve Stamps Blog with today's look at the new Diva Dare Challenge - Vellum Visions and the Viva la Verve Blog with a brand-new sketch challenge!

Vellum!  What can I say?!  I LOVE vellum...it makes me happy!  It's so soft and subtle, yet adds such a fabulous texture and elegance to cards that is perfect for all occasions.  As I was flipping through my beloved Verve stamp sets, this one.. Shining Star, really caught my eye!  I paired the faithful sentiment from it with the Sweet Scallop Die and Starry Die.  Vellum stars...yes!  I embellished the soft stars with some sparkly sequins and a fun bow from the Pastel Polka Ribbon Collection.

Okay, blurry photograph has been fixed!  I whipped this card up over a crafty weekend with friends and even borrowed Peaceful Medallions and Better Together stamp sets from my my Verve-loving friend, Lynn Mangan that brought some of her Verve stash along!  Oh, and just wait until you see her shoebox swap card that we made with LOTS of VERVE-goodness!  BEAUTIFUL!

Verve Stamps - August 2014 Diva Dare

I'm up on the Verve Blog today with my take on this month's Diva Dare entitled Celebrate Good Times.     

 I've been waiting for the perfect time to create a card using these new stamp sets, Peaceful Medallions and Moments Remembered!  I adore the elegance of these two stamp sets that were illustrated by the amazing Chaitali Narla!  There are a couple of Flag It Die Set flags for an added touch and pop of pink, too!

I also put Maureen's Viva la Verve sketch from last week to good use!

We Remember Moments... Verve Diva Dare

I'm up on the Verve Stamps Blog today as your Diva Dare hostess!

Inside Out - July Diva Dare

This month we're daring you to create a stamped card and continue the design on the inside for a special surprise for the recipient.  Simply carry over some portion of the card front design on to the inside of your card. 

Aren't those feathers from the new Moments Remembered stamp set the most GORGEOUS things you've ever seen?!

After stamping and fussy cutting two of those beautiful feathers, I paired them up with a coordinating sentiment from the same stamp set.  There is a peek of Flag It Die Set under the fancy Signature Ribbon Collection bow and several Shine Bright Sequin Mix sprinkles scattered here and there.

I kept it simple here with a second sentiment and smaller feather from Moments Remembered.

There are still a couple of days to play along with this week's Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge #354, too!  I also used the Color Throwdown #301...there are tiny coral dots in the chevron pattern on my card...

Hey, Verve Fans!  I'm up on the Verve Stamps Blog and the Viva la Verve Sketches Blog today with a little of this and a little of that...a theme and a sketch!

 I went with bright, cheerful and trendy card with a masculine flair...love the mustache, lightbulb and camera patterned papers!  I used sentiments and the hibiscus image from Happy Days along with the Scroll Die to add interest to the sentiment tag.  There's a new Viva la Verve sketch up and running today, too!

The Catered Crop Manly Men Recipe Swap is up and running, too...a perfect challenge to play along with to celebrate all of those wonderful men out there!

Geared Up for Fun - Verve Diva Dare

Good morning!  TGIF!!

I'm hosting today's Diva Dare: Little Things inspiration post over at the Verve Stamps Blog!  I'd love for you to stop by and say "hey!"

The "Little Things" challenge was my chance to dust off these adorable stamp sets, Geared Up and Birthday Bots to create a fun card for a little guy!  When my boys were little, they loved robots, gears and anything with parts - to take apart!  I must admit that making this card had me reminiscing back to a time when my oldest son would tuck his favorite robot under his pillow at night!  Now, he is (almost) 14 and sadly, there are no more robots under his pillow.  Where does the time go?!

In addition to Geared Up and Birthday Bots stamp sets, I used the Rounded Rectangle Tag Die to frame up the cutie-patootie robot, and the Banner Bundle Die Set tucked behind the tag to extend the focal point.  

The Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge #340 is still up and running and worked as a wonderful layout for my "Geared Up for Fun" card today!  It's CONTEST WEEK over at Mojo Monday, so you won't want to miss a chance at some free Verve!
