Jewelry Color Inspiration #36

Anyone who knows me also knows that have an obsession for stamping and for JEWELRY! I enjoy participating in other stamping challenges and want to share the fun by offering my own weekly Jewelry Color Inspiration challenge. The challenge will be posted each Sunday and will include a jewelry photo along with the link to the website where I found it.

If you want to play along, simply make a paper project (card, scrapbook page, or 3D item) that includes the colors indicated with the jewelry piece. (If you don't have the exact colors, just use ones that are similar:) Then, submit your creation to me by Saturday, May 16th at 11:59 P.M. using the Mr. Linky box at the end of this posting. (NOTE: I'm not sure why my Mr. Linky code isn't working, but I am looking into it. In the mean time, just leave comments with your link included...thanks!) You may also wish to post your photo at Splitcoaststampers.com using the keyword JCI.

PRIZE NEWS
All of you who participate in the challenge will receive recognition next Sunday...plus I will giving away another free stamp set, Botanical Blooms, to my favorite submission! So what are you waiting for...join the fun! I can't wait to see what you come up with!

Dini of Beadazzled of Oregon created this unique piece called Yellow House Designs. The beads are handmade by
Julie Picarello. Dini created this piece entirely by hand with a bead weaving technique. Wow! Can you imagine the time it takes to create something this detailed and ornate? I love the colors in this amazing necklace...the turquoise, yellow and lilac are fantastic together!

I saw a card a few weeks ago that had some unique colors with trees and loved it, so I thought I'd try a funky take on the Trendy Trees stamp set. Your stamp-a-majig is a must with this stamp set! I used the Fall-To Layout #41 from Clean & Simple Stamping blog for my sketch inspiration on this card.

Stamps: Trendy Trees
Paper: Tempting Turquoise, So Saffron, Lavendar Lace, Whisper White
Ink: Tempting Turquoise, So Saffron, Lavendar Lace, Basic Gray
Other: Dress Up Ribbon, 1 1/4" Circle punch, Stamp-a-majig

I'm going to try to play along this week. I say that to myself every week, but hopefully this one will pan out for me.

I don't think I commented yet...I love that card you made! It's so clean and simple. It's a great layout, but your execution of it is also flawless. Well done! (And great colors this week!)
