Clean & Simple ~ Hey Friend

I whipped a set of swap cards tonight to take to my demonstrator meeting tomorrow night. I wanted to encorporate items from the new Summer Mini Catalog, so I picked a summer theme using the Island Oasis Designer Series Paper and Island Floral Bigz Die. LOVE these fun summer colors:)

Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #67 was the perfect layout inspiration for this clean & simple design...

Stamps: Friends Rock
Paper: Pumpkin Pie, So Saffron, Whisper White CS, Island Oasis DSP
Ink: Tempting Turquoise & Old Olive
Other: Big Shot, Island Floral Bigz Die, Old Olive Satin Ribbon, Crop-o-dile

Here is a swap card that I made recently to trade with a group of fabulously talentened stampers. GO QC Swappers! I just received my package of swaps in the mail yesterday and have loads of new ideas to share...coming soon!

I used the Sentimental Journey stamp set and coordinating designer series paper for this one. Notice the textured background? That's a brand new embossing folder, too! Tomorrow is the debut of our new Summer Mini Catalog that houses these products and many others!

Thanks So Much ~ Secretary's Day

Tomorrow is Secretary's Day, so I wanted to create a little "thank you" gift for our school's secretary. She takes such good care of all of us at PES!

I pulled out the 'almost' forgotten Flower Fusion...I know, how could I forget these felt cuties:) My new favorite stamp set, Watercolor Trio, will be available on May 1st in the Summer Mini Catalog. I inked the flower image and sentiment up with markers and stamped it upon a top note die cut from The Write Stuff Specialty Designer Series Paper. I love the muted effect of stamping on DSP, which you can probably tell from my most recent postings (smile:)

Laura's Sketch #50 at 2 Sketches 4 You was the inspiration for the layout of my card...the tucked top note panel is super clever...and I love the long strip down the center...sooooo versatile:)

This coordinating little sticky note holder was whipped up fairly quickly....a little piece of DSP, another die cut, some ribbon...and similar stamping...VIOLA!

Tomorrow's hump day...have a good one, everybody!

Stamps: Watercolor Trio
Paper: Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive CS, Petal Party SSK, The Write Stuff Specialty & Cast a Spell DSP
Ink: Old Olive, Rose Red & Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Write Markers
Other: Rose Red 1" Double Stitched Grosgrain, Flower Fusion, Fresh Favorites Buttons, Linen Thread, Scallop Edge Punch, Mini Glue Dots, Plastic 4 X 6 Frame, Sticky Note Pad

Sentimental Journey Sneak Peek

I made this little gift set for my mom who will be flying out to Salt Lake City with me this summer when I go to attend Stampin' Up! convention! I'm super excited to go and even more excited that Mom and my daughter Hannah will be travelling with me:) By day, I'll be stamping by day with thousands of other demonstrators while Mom and Hannah will shop and maybe do a little site-seeing.

The Embellish Parties Color Challenge using Red, Black, Kraft & White was the inspiration for theme and color of my project, while the MOJO Monday Sketch Challenge #134 was the layout inspiration of my card with a little carry-over to the favor.

The main image and sentiment is from the brand-new stamp set called Sentimental Journey, which will become available for customer purchase on May 1st. It's a great set to make masculine cards with...and what's even better is the stamp set has it's very own pack of coordinating Sentimental Journey Designer Series Paper.

I'll be making up some swaps to mail off this weekend using this set, too...so stay tuned for more Sentimental Journey projects to come:)

The favor was die cut from the Fancy Favor Bigz XL Die and stamped using the "pad to paper" technique to give it some texture.

Now it's your turn to get sentimental and make a goodie for someone special:)

Stamps: Sentimental Journey, All Holidays (for you sentiment on favor)
Paper: Whisper White, Naturals White, Basic Black, Kraft, Real Red CS, Jackpot DSP
Ink: Sahara Sand, Black Stazon
Other: Scallop Trim Punch, Crop-o-dile, 1" Circle Punch, Linen Thread, Basic Black 5/8" Grosgrain, Fire Square Rhinestone Brads, Mat Pack & Paper Piercing Tool
