Stamper's Showcase

Remember this one? I made this swap card several weeks ago to trade at a demonstrator group meeting. This card using the Central Park stamp set (dormant) & Bella Bleu DSP is featured on Stamper's Showcase of the Stampin' Up! demonstrator website today. My sideline, Janet over at funkyj creations, was the first one to drop a hint...she left a comment on a previous post encouraging me to check the showcase...thanks, Janet!

A Gift Set of Notes For You ~ IC184

The Inspiration Challenge #184 over at Splitcoaststampers (AKA: SCS) was to use a package from the Lovely Package website. This is the coolest website that features all of the packaging designs that have been created for retail items. I chose the R.M. Gattefosse, an aromatherapeutic product, as my inspiration.



I used a note card set gift box template that I found in the last Paper Crafts magazine; however, I did tweak it slightly to fit my 3X3 cards a little better. The measurement of the Pink Passion cardstock is 8X6, scored at 3 1/2 and 4 1/2 (8" side), then scored again at 5/8" on both sides of the 6" side. Does that make sense?



I definately could've jazzed up my box a little more, but was running short on time this morning when I made it.



I love these colors together...Pumpkin Pie, Pink Passion, Ballet Blue & Green Galore...so crisp and fun!

Central Park Swap Card

Tomorrow night is my stampers group meeting where several area demonstrators get together to chat, snack, stamp, and SWAP! For my swap card, I used the Bella Bleu Designer Series Paper with coordinating cardstock & ink of Sahara Sand, Not Quite Navy & Very Vanilla. The stamp set, Central Park, is an awesome two-step stamping set and since I was out of Very Vanilla Grosgrain ribbon, I used my Twill Tape...love it!

Take Care of Yourself ~ RSCC#4 & WSC79

Dawn McVey is back with another fabulous color challenge, Raspberry Suite Color Challenge Week #4. The colors for the challenge are Brown, Soft Aqua & White...I used SU Chocolate Chip, Baja Breeze & Whisper White. For the layout, I used the Weekend Sketch Challenge #79 at Jenn Balcer's blog...love the slanted image panel:) Thanks Dawn and Jenn for the inspiration!



I did a little two-step stamping using the Central Park stamp set. The outline leaf and flower are both stamped with Chocolate Chip, while the second step of the leaf is in Baja Breeze. I popped the floral image up an a couple of dimensionals. The image panel was mounted on some Bella Rose DSP and wrapped with some wide stitched Baja Breeze ribbon.

Happy Birthday ~ MOJO 83

I made this card for the sketch challenge over at Monday Mojo blog. This week's sketch, Monday Mojo #83, is a fabulous square design with several layers, a slanted focal point and embellishment.



One thing I wished I would've added is a couple of die-cut flowers behind the bottom corduroy buttons. But, since I adhered this greeting panel with pop-up glue dots, there was no going back:(

Central Park Butterfly ~ TLC212

It was time to learn a new technique today on Splitcoaststampers...with one of my favorite accessories, no less...RIBBON. This technique challenge, TLC #212 was to create a ribbon frame around the main image of your project. I used my new Valet Ribbon Originals (love the polka dots), along with the horizontal slot punch to weave the ribbon through the cardstock. A background was stamped using the Central Park stamp set and the beautiful butterfly with pretties was placed in the center of my ribbon frame.
