Uniko Studio October Release - Introducing Jolly Christmas

Time for another peek at the Uniko Studio October Release stamps!  This set, Jolly Christmas, is ADORABLE...with that darling Santa!!

The color challenge, CC449, over at Splitcoaststampers was perfect to show off Mr. Claus!

I stamped the tree in green, Santa in red, his belt in black and the star in yellow...directly on a neutral patterned paper!  Easy...but, so CUTE!  Santa was fussy cut and a little sparkle was added to his pom-pom and the shining star!

Head on over to the Uniko Studio Blog and see what the other designers have created for today!

Thanks for stopping by the stage!

I also encorporated the sketch challenge #330 and Free For All 62 from Splitcoaststampers into my card.

After doing some collage-style stamping with Fifth Avenue Floral on Whisper White, I stamped one of the flower images on Kiwi Kiss, cut it out, and mounted it upon the collage.

Today is my son's 11th birthday! It's hard to believe 11 years ago today Greg and I were awaiting our first baby's arrival. Happy Easter!

Edited to add: This card was selected as the winner for the ColourQ Challenge 81... Thanks, Arielle and design team! I will wear my crown with pride:)

It's a dreary, rainy day here...so what better day to get back in my office to create an Easter card! I used that darling new set from the Occasions Mini called Easter Blossoms. Isn't this silhouette image the sweetest? It reminds me of when I was a little girl all dressed up for Easter Sunday!

What do you think of these sweet little Vintage Flower Adornments? This was also my first attempt at the Scrunched Seam Binding bow... I definately need some more practice with scrunching and tying them:)

I combined some awesome challenges for my card today... Arielle's ColourQ Challenge #81...

The Shabby Tea Room #58 Inspiration Challenge using pastels and stripes and...

the Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge 137. This card also fits the bill for the Splitcoaststampers WT319 using OVALS and the Crazy4Challenges 84 to create an Easter card.

Thanks for stopping in! Happy Easter!

My Dear Kind & Wonderful Friend

For my card today, I combined a few of this week's Splitcoaststampers challenges. The Technique Challenge #280: Paper Posies, the Color Challenge #278: Baja Razzleberry Saffons, the Sketch Challenge #288, and the Way to Use It #278: Yellow Sunshine...they all worked well together for this happy card!

The poofy flower was created sponging Rich Razzleberry ink onto a piece of Vellum cardstock, then color spritzed with the same color. The five scallops were punched out, assembled with a tiny brad, then scrunched to the middle. If you look closely, there is a small button laced with thread adhered in the center.

Thanks for stopping by...TGIF! Have a great weekend, peeps:)

Curry Bay Durangos...so long!

The Color Challenge #277 and the Sketch Challenge #287 over at Splitcoaststampers was the inspiration for my card today. The color challenge requires Crushed Curry, Bermuda Bay & Dusty Durango...the In Colors that are retiring TOMORROW! I can't believe it's already been a year since these beautiful colors were introduced to us. Good news, though...the new Cajun Craze reminds me of Dusty Durango, and Daffodil Delight will be a beautiful substitute for Crushed Curry.

Are you ready for tomorrow? The waiting is finally over...the new 2010-2011 Idea Book & Catalog will be available to view online and to order from! I'm so excited:) The stamp set I used here, called Artistic Etchings, will also be available for purchase from the new catty...gorgeous!

Full of Life

It's so exciting when a blogging friend gets recognition...it's like a little party in cyberspace:) My good friend, LeAnne Pugliese, is the Featured Stamper #175 over at Splitcoaststampers this week! What a beautiful gallery LeAnne has with impeccable and clean layouts with amazing use of color and techniques.

I chose this card of LeAnne's to case and wanted to maintain the layout and that fab poofy flower:) The colors of my card were inspired by the Inspiration Challenge #236: Roses and Teacups, over at Splitcoaststampers this week, too. How pretty is this little fabric-covered teapot? So darling:)

I used a decor stencil to create a background image on the card front using Rose Red ink and a sponge dauber. After stamping the sentiment, adding a scallop trim and adhering the gathered ribbon, I attached the poofy flower with a Pretty in Pink Corduroy Brad.

Stamps: Full of Life
Paper: Certainly Celery, Pretty in Pink CS, Shades of Spring & Cottage Wall DSP
Ink: Old Olive, Rose Red
Other: Mostly Vintage Decor Stencil, Sponge Daubers, Pretty in Pink Satin Ribbon, Sticky Strip, Scallop Circle & Edge Punches, Pretty in Pink Corduroy Buttons, Pop-Up Glue Dots
