friend to friend ~ Stencil Surprise

I made this card for Shelli Gardner's Stencil Surprise Challenge at her blog, So Shelli. This was my first attempt at using the Stampin' Up! Decor Stencils...and I think I'm already addicted to them. What a "WOW" feeling when you lift the stencil after inking it up...very cool!

Karen Giron's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #62 and Rachel's Cupcake Inspiration Challenge #52 were just the layout and color inspiration that I needed to get started.

I knew the card would be fairly bright when I was done, but you may have wished you had your sunglasses on before viewing it...LOL! I definately had fun with this one. My friend, Libby, and I got together today to inspire, create, and share...basically we made a big FUN mess:)

Happy Sunday:)

thank you ~ OCCSC7 & CTD84

A fab sketch and a striking color combo...viola...a super fun challenge card! I combined the Sketch #7, OCCSC7, over at the Our Creative Corner Sketch Blog with the Color Throwdown #84 including Teal, Black, Sky & Tangerine.

It's a sad day...I have NO Soft Sky left AND I realized that I used the last piece of Baja Breeze ribbon and have no more Baja Breeze cardstock. Those the old In Colors are dwindling fast:( If you look closely, the Pinking Hearts Punch borders on the middle strip were punched from a separate piece of Baja Breeze and the layered with a second pattern of Baja Breeze DSP.

Stamps: Teeny Tiny Wishes
Paper: Tangerine Tango, Taken With Teal, Basic Black, Very Vanilla CS, Sweet Pea & other retired DSP
Ink: Black Stazon
Other: Baja Breeze Corduroy Buttons, Mat Pack & Paper Piercing Tool, Pinking Hearts Border & 1" Circle Punch, Linen Thread, Baja Breeze retired ribbon, Big Shot, Daisies #2 Die

Busy Butterflies

Could my card be any busier? Ugh! I need to subtract a couple of patterns and the card might actually be sendable...LOL!

Anyway, I had fun mixing the patterns from the Sweet Pea Designer Series Paper Pack for the MOJO Monday Sketch #130. Needing a little more inspiration...head on over to The Pink Elephant Challenge #58: Spring Theme and stamp into spring with me:)

Happy Birthday, Sweet Pea!

I love, love, love Karen's sketch this week, Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #60! It gave the perfect opportunity to try this pulled ribbon flower that I've been wanting to make. It's super easy....you just pull the stitching tightly on each end of a piece of ribbon, tie it together and form a ruffled circle. To spice it up a little, I added some of the Sweet Pea Felted Flowers along with the Sweet Pea Designer Series Paper. Don't you just LOVE products that coordinate so wonderfully?...that's why I LOVE Stampin' Up!

Paper: Pretty in Pink, Rose Red, Whisper White CS, Sweet Pea DSP
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Other: Sweet Pea Felted Flowers, Pretty in Pink Satin Ribbon, Rose Red 1" Stitched Grosgrain, Scallop Trim Punch, Pop-Up & Mini Glue Dots

Thank You ~ CTD 66 & WSC 104

I was so inspired with the colors from The Color Throwdown #66 this week...a combination
that I've never tried...Bordering Blue, Elegant Eggplant, and Rich Razzleberry! Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge #104 was a great one to get me started with the yummy color combination:) I think this might be a sketch that Beate asked me to use from THIS CARD last October...is it Beate? I have to say I was soooo flattered when Beate asked me:) Anyway, if not...a girl can dream, right?
