Pursue Happiness ~ TESC 103

I made my card today using my new stamps...and the sketch inspiration from Taylored Expressions Sketch #103! I inked up the floral landscape image with Taken with Teal, Rich Razzleberry & Crushed Curry Stampin' Write Markers, then added a little Rich Razzleberry spritzing with the Color Spritzer.

Gotta run, hubby is taking me out to dinner tonight! Happy Friday everyone:)

Discover Your Wings

I was so inspired to create this happy spring card...especially after getting my new stamps in the mail today! I used three challenges for my card today...Our Creative Corner Sketch Challenge #5, The Play Date Cafe Creativity Challenge #19 using yellows, and the Pals Paper Arts Spring Theme Challenge #32.

I stamped the main image with marker, then added the corduroy buttons to the flower centers. Many layers later, I used two slightly bigger corduroy buttons for the top two corners that are threaded with some linen thread. That yummy bow wrapped vertically in the center also has a corduroy buttons embellishment. I guess I couldn't get enough of those bright and cherry buttons:) Have a happy day!

Stamps: Discover Your Wings (Taylored Expressions)

Ink: Old Olive, Taken With Teal, Pumpkin Pie & Crushed Curry Stampin' Write Markers
Other: Pumpkin Pie & Summer Sun Corduroy Buttons, Linen Thread, Mat Pack & Paper Piercing Tool, Old Olive Striped Grosgrain, Circle/Scallop Circle Nestabilities (non-SU)

Upsy Daisy Cracked Glass

Two challenges were the inspiration for my card today...the Monday MOJO Sketch #128 and the Color Throwdown #82 using Not Quite Navy (I could swear I read it as Night of Navy) Old Olive/Vanilla & Ruby Red.

I have been making samples for my demonstration for an upcoming stamping event...and this is one of the samples that I will have to showcase for the demonstration of the Cracked Glass technique...and more coming soon:)

The Upsy Daisy floral image was stamped with markers and then spritzed with the Color Spritzer. I love the vintage look of the image stamped on the naturals cardstock, spritzed, and then embossed.

Ink: Old Olive, Ruby Red & Night of Navy Stampin' Write Markers

Amazing, Etc.

Two challenges went into play with this card today...Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge #63 and Arielle's ColourQ Challenge #22. The colors for the cQc22 are Certainly Celery, Baja Breeze (retired), Night of Navy, Sahara Sand & White...such great boyish colors. However, it seems that no matter how boyish the colors of my card are, the finished product is usually girly:)

Ink: Night of Navy
Other: Baja Breeze Corduroy Buttons (retired), Boho Blossoms & Scallop Edge Punches, Linen Thread, Paper Piercing Tool, Certainly Celery 5/8" Grosgrain, Oval/Scallop Oval Nestabilities

Hip-Hippo-Ray!

Kazan's Sketch #47 at 2 Sketches 4 You was just the avenue I needed tonight to squeeze in a card before the Bachelor finale comes on:) Yes, I'm a Bachelor fan...my dirty little secret, if you will.

I had to dust this sweet stamp set, Pun Fun, off after not having used it for so long! The circle panel on Kazan's sketch was the perfect size to showcase this cute little hippo. The Sweet Pea Designer Series Paper Pack was the color inspiration for my card...love the Taken with Teal and Pumpkin Pie!
