Upsy Daisy Cracked Glass

Two challenges were the inspiration for my card today...the Monday MOJO Sketch #128 and the Color Throwdown #82 using Not Quite Navy (I could swear I read it as Night of Navy) Old Olive/Vanilla & Ruby Red.

I have been making samples for my demonstration for an upcoming stamping event...and this is one of the samples that I will have to showcase for the demonstration of the Cracked Glass technique...and more coming soon:)

The Upsy Daisy floral image was stamped with markers and then spritzed with the Color Spritzer. I love the vintage look of the image stamped on the naturals cardstock, spritzed, and then embossed.

Birthday Celebrations ~ 2S4Y 46 & CD 56

Two challenges were combined to create this birthday card...Kazan's Sketch #46 at 2 Sketches 4 You and the Color Dare #56 ~ Tempting Rich Plums using Rich Razzleberry, Pale Plum, Tempting Turquoise & Basic Black.



I used my Stampin' Write Markers to color on the daisy image...a little messy coloring makes for a cool watercolored effect.

I was inspired by the colors from Arielle's Colour Q Challenge #13 using Melon Mambo, Pretty in Pink, Tempting Turquoise, Chocolate Chip & Whisper White. In addition to the Colour Q Challenge, the Sketch Challenge #261 from Splitcoaststampers was just what I needed to create this happy card. More Bleaching with Upsy Daisy

The Upsy Daisy silhouette stamp set is another perfect choice for the bleaching technique. This card was my swap card at our last group meeting, where I demonstrated this easy and "wow" technique with the group. I made this card over the weekend as a sketch challenge from Paper Craft Planet, SK011709. This is a fairly new website that is all about papercrafting, of course:)

On this card, I used my Stampin' Write Markers directly on the rubber stamp and just colored the spots according to my personal taste. It would look more blended if you used a sponge dauber. I'll miss this awesome DSP, Haiku...but have no fear...the new catalog has even better designer series paper prints!
