Fusion Challenge - So Amazing

Fusion #5 is up and running with a fresh new sketch and lovely inspiration photo!

 I used one of my favorite Verve stamp sets, Flutter By...a little watercolor effect by spraying aqua and lime ink on a palette and using it as an ink pad...love the beautiful effect that it creates when the colors blend together!    My FUSION was also inspired by the Moxie Fab World Wonder of Watercolor, MME May Day Challenge, Really Reasonable Ribbon Challenge 771:  Sparkle, Bling & Ribbon and Our Creative Corner Anything Goes!

I must admit that I was so excited about this news that I stopped by my local craft store hoping it would have the perfect patterned paper for me to use on this challenge...and luckily I found this fabulous My Mind's Eye paper called Lost & Found 2: Blush....gorgeous...a little shabby chic with amazing patterns!

What better way to show of these fabulous new papers that to flash a little VERVE and play along with the April Diva Dare: Butterflies & Blooms!  I used the Surely Goodness stamps and dies with a sentiment from Flutter By.  LOVE me some Verve:)

The challenge over at Our Creative Corner this week asks for Fashion & Style...so I had to play along with it as well!

The paper does the talking on this card!  After adding some stamped layers with die cuts, scalloped fabric, pearls, a button, some twine, a corner accent, and a pretty bow...I think it's done:)

I'm so ready for spring...how about you?!  The Pink Elephant Challenge #190 is perfect for a little spring inspiration, just use GREEN!

The retrosketches #54, dynamic duos #43,  Really Reasonable Ribbon #67, Simon Says Stamp: Use Green, and Our Creative Corner Inspiration challenges worked well together!

 There are lots of fun new crafting goodies on this card...mostly from American Crafts Everyday Collection...such fun colors on the patterned paper and embellishments:)

From the Bottom of My Heart

It's Monday, are you ready to get your week off to a great start?  I thought so:)...it's time for a new challenge over at The Pink Elephant, TPE 183!  This week, we challenge you to Add a Heart:)  

I was inspired by a few challenges for this card...the Colour Q Challenge 173, Crazy 4 Challenges 170: Raising the Bar (casing Barb), OCC Woody with a Button, and the MFTWSC108:)

After stamping the little boy image with Black Stazon, I colored him with Copics and cut him out to mount him on the card front.  He is just precious, I think!

Here For You

It's super late, but after I watched Edge of Darkness with Mel Gibson, I couldn't sleep! The best thing for me to do when I can't sleep is read or stamp, so I decided to make a card (typically my favorite choice).



Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge #78 was just the right layout for my card (to use another one of those darling poofy flowers), and Arielle's ColourQ Challenge #37 has a gorgeous color combination that I couldn't resist...Ruby Red, Cameo Coral, Apricot Appeal, Always Artichoke, and Very Vanilla. The Got You Cornered challenge over at Our Creative Corner is a great reminder to add embellishments to the corners of your project....go check it out:)



I inked up the flower and the sentiment in Old Olive Craft ink, added Clear Embossing Powder, and heat set them. The poofy flower is 6 Scallop Circles stamped with the En Frances background stamp, color spritzed, and crumpled into the middle. After i spread the scallops back out somewhat, I placed a Button Bouquet button laced with Linen Thread in the center of the flower. These are so fun and easy to make...and they always turn out differently, but perfectly:)

You Light Up My Life

I know, kinda corny for my hubby, right? But, I guess anniversaries were made to be a little corny...LOL! Greg and I will celebrate our 14th anniversary next Tuesday...and I have a surprise for him to light him up as well!

A few months ago, he was sulking around, which is very unusual...so I asked him what was wrong. After a long hesitation, he said, "I lost my wedding band." He was doing chores in the barn, he admitted, with his ring on his pinky...WHAT?! It was apparent that he already felt bad enough, so I didn't give him too hard of a time:)

Anyway, you guessed it...I got him a new wedding band. This one is a slight upgrade as well, so I think he will be excited! I don't know, maybe I'm excited enough for the both of us.



I combined three challenges for my hubby's card...the Color Throwdown #96 using So Saffron, Cool Caribbean (long-time retired), and Pumpkin Pie...the Card Patterns Sketch 67, and the Our Creative Corner: Summer Inspiration.



I only had a smidge of Cool Caribbean, so I added a little Tempting Turquoise to the mix. The designer paper was stamped with the Woodgrain background stamp to add a little more interest. The lamp was inked up twice...once in Tempting Turquoise and another time in So Saffron. The shade was hand-cut and adhered over the original image for some dimension.

Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge #66 and the Colour Q Challenge #25 were the foundation of my card...match those up with a cute Easter image and sentiment, and my card also fits the bill for The Shabby Tea Room Week #2 - Spring Inspired with Stitching theme and Our Creative Corner's Think Easter theme.



I finally inked up this darling little bunny...wow! The magic really happens when he is clear embossed onto Chocolate Chip cardstock...looks like the real thing:)

Hope Your Day Is As Good As It Gets

I combined two challenges for this card...the Color Throwdown #83 using Bermuda Bay, Melon Mambo, Wild Wasabi & Marigold Morning...and the Sketch Challenge from Our Creative Corner. I was able to dig up some Wild Wasabi DSP, but didn't have any luck locating the Marigold Morning...was I even stamping when Marigold Morning was around?



Another Cracked Glass card...only three more days until my Cracked Glass presentation at an area event! On this card, I embossed the main circle as well as the two butterflies, but only cracked the circle.
