From the Heart

I just got my new MacBook Pro and this is my first attempt at photo editing using the iPhoto program. I'm still learning, and as you can see, I wasn't able to add my watermark...but I love the matte edge! Anybody out there with an Apple computer who uses the iPhoto program?

Stamps: Watercolor Trio
Paper: Pink Pirouette, Whisper White, Basic Black CS, Bella Bleu DSP
Ink: Black Stazon
Other: Crystal Trinket Pins & Scallop Punch (non-SU), Pumpkin Pie Striped Grosgrain

The rest of the Curtain Call Crew has samples to show you today, too, so make sure you stop by to see:

Certainly one of your best cards lately, Stacey! I couldn't think how to make these colours work with a classy look, and you just showed me how - and OUCH! I wish I thought of it myself! :D Beautiful!!!
(reminds me so much of Julie Lacey's work too)

Like the color challenge!

I have a Mac, haven't owned anything but for like 15+ years.

I use iPhoto only as a way to keep all my photos organized. I use Photoshop to actually edit the photos. If I need just some quick prints I print with minimal changes from iPhoto, but otherwise it's all Photoshop. I change the photos, then save a copy on my desktop, then drop the changed photo (with a different name) back into iPhoto, and put it back in the original event. That way I still have the original, and the touched up copy still in one "event".

It's really good at providing different options for organizing photos and movies. That's it's main purpose. Feel free to email with questions if you have any. I'm a huge Mac fan/user and I'm pretty knowledgeable about them.

Hi Stacey - Thank you for the great color challenge...I will officially be stalking you now! :)

I'm a fairly new Mac user. I bought PSE for Mac but I haven't figured out how to get the watermark on my card that way...so for now I'm transferring my cards after I edit them to my Mac. Speaking of which I really need to figure that out..... LOL!

Hi Stacey, Great color combo!! I really enjoy using those colors together.

My link #31 is not the right link. Sorry for the mistake.

I don't think I'll be too quick to try and find a way to combine pink pirouette and pumpkin pie again....but it was fun trying....Mine is the opposite of yours :) Whereas you went for elegant I tried the distressed look...Yours is so much better!
