Artisan Award Entry #4 ~ Cheep Talk Card

For Artisan Award Entry card #4, I used the Cheep Talk set to create an outdoor scene. The circles were punched, adhered, and then some were stitched with the sewing machine to create a hilly and grassy floor. The birds were stamped, then covered with buttons to appear as though they're standing on a hill. This was a fun card to create! Hope you like it:)

Thanks for stopping by!

hello there!

Hello there, folks! For my card today, I combined two of the best Tuesday challenges...Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge #64 and the ColourQ Challenge #23. I love Mercy's square layout with fun layers and space for embellishments. Arielle's bright color challenge this week calls for Tangerine Tango, Crushed Curry, Tempting Turquoise, Old Olive & Whisper White.

I'm still working on the cracked glass samples for my demonstration this weekend at a stamping event. I hope you're not getting too bored seeing this technique over and over...:) Have a good one:)

Hello There!

I made this card a few days ago and didn't post it because I wasn't very happy with how it turned out. But, since I didn't have a chance to stamp today, I guess you could say it is a "back-up" posting. The sketch was inspired by Karen Giron's Sweet Sunday Sketch and the colors were inspired by Jaron's 1st Color Challenge (but, note that I did not include Soft Sky...retired.)

Stamps: Cheep Talk
Paper: Old Olive & Whisper White, Retired DSP
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Taken with Teal

You've Got a Friend In Me ~ KWerner CI #50

Kristina is back with Color Inspiration #50 and some yummy prizes. Go check out her inspiration and all of fabulous entries!

I used some more of the On Board So Tweet chipboard for this colorful card. After running the Real Red cardstock through the Big Shot with the Texturz plates (backgrounds I), I traced and cut the pieces to adhere onto the chipboard birdie. The legs and beak were colored with Yoyo Yellow Stampin' Write Marker.

Stamps: Cheep Talk

a special note of thanks ~ TECC64 & CTD38

I was so inspired by the Color Throwdown #38 and Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge #64! I haven't had a lot of extra time this week to create, so I was ready to find my mojo tonight...gotta love Fridays!

As I was using my Stamp-a-majig for the greeting, I got a little smear of gray ink on my bird...ugh! Anyway, I tried to salvage my image by adding some more sponging around the edges of the image.

"You've Got a Friend in Me" Sticky Note Holder & Pen

How cute is this! Tomorrow is our last day of school before Spring break, so I made this little sticky note holder & altered pen for each of the teachers that I work with.

The acrylic photo frames, Pentel RSVP pens & sticky note pads came from Dollar General...so "cheep"...I mean cheap:) To alter the frames & pens, I used up some of the Sale-a-bration products that I had hanging around...the Darling Dots Designer Series Paper and the So Saffron Grosgrain from the Ribbon Bundle. Each of the note holder designs are the same except for the color of DSP and embellishments. The paper is placed in the holder where a photo would go. Some grosgrain ribbon was wrapped around the outside of the frame and tied into a square knot. I used the Cheep Talk stamp set (love that little birdie) to create a simple embellishment layered on a scallop circle and paper pierced.

To see a great video on how to create your own Sticky Note Holder & Pen set, go to Dawn's Stamping Thoughts. Thanks, Dawn, for your "always-inspiring" projects:)

Here's a card that I made with two challenges, the Color Challenge #205 at Splitcoaststampers.com and the Fall To Layout #28 on Clean & Simple blog. The color combination that I used from the color challenge was Pink Pirouette, Kiwi Kiss & Perfect Plum...and here is the sketch from the layout challenge. What a great pair these two challenges make! Sorry about my photo...super blurry...taking pictures of my projects at night doesn't work the greatest!
