You've Got a Friend In Me ~ KWerner CI #50

Kristina is back with Color Inspiration #50 and some yummy prizes. Go check out her inspiration and all of fabulous entries!

I used some more of the On Board So Tweet chipboard for this colorful card. After running the Real Red cardstock through the Big Shot with the Texturz plates (backgrounds I), I traced and cut the pieces to adhere onto the chipboard birdie. The legs and beak were colored with Yoyo Yellow Stampin' Write Marker.

Stamps: Cheep Talk
Paper: Real Red, Chocolate Chip CS, Flock Together DSP
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Yoyo Yellow Marker
Other: Big Shot, Backgrounds I Texturz Plates, 5-Petal Flower Punch, Scallop Border Punch, Whisper White Organza ribbon, Pacific Point Corduroy buttons, Stamp-a-majig, Pop-Up Glue Dots, Tombo Multi Adhesive

guess whoo loves you!

My dad is having surgery on Friday, so I wanted to make him a special card to send. He is a wise man, so I thought the owl was perfect and he likes to be gushed over, so he'll love the heart eyes, too!

The awesome sketch for this card came from Sketch Challenge #225 at Splitcoaststampers. One great thing I love about the sketches at SCS is that usually the dimensions of the layers are listed so you can copy the sketch exactly. I got the idea for my chipboard owl and his loving eyes from my upline Julie. Isn't he just adorable?

Stamps: Owl Together Now
Paper: Chocolate Chip, Summer Sun, Whisper White, Kiwi Kiss CS, Good Morning Sunshine DSP
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Real Red & Summer Sun Stampin' Write Markers
Other: So Tweet Chipboard, Tombo Multi-purpose adhesive, 3/8" Jumbo Brads, Crafters Tool Kit, Big Shot, Texturz Plates (SU Backgrounds I), Sanding Blocks, Stampin' Dimensionals

Family Fun with Altered Clipboards

Here is a group of fabulous gals that I stamped and scrapped with today. My friend and neighbor, Heather, brought over her mom, neice and two sisters to alter clipboards. Pictured below are Shara, Heidi, Heather, Kristin, and Brenna (front). Check out these beautiful clipboards! Didn't they do a fantastic job?

Kristin, Heather's older sister, made this darling floral clipboard.

Brenna, Kristin's daughter, made this orangey clipboard.

I made this masculine clipboard for Parker, Kristin's son, who was not as interested in the "girl" time:) But, guess what, he liked this one the best!

Heather made this cheerful "Cherry-O" clipboard.

Heather's mom, Shara, made this soft floral clipboard.

Heidi, Heather's younger sister, made these two sunny boards for her little girl, Clara, and herself.
