More Than Love - Viva la Verve & Diva Dare Perk Up

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day and happy Friday, Verve Stamps fans!  Fridays are fabulous ...why?  It's Viva la Verve day, of course!

Diva Jen Schultz sketched up a fabulous layout for us to play along with this week for Viva la Verve February 2014 Week 2.  I paired it up with the colors from last week's challenge, too...red, gray, and pink...perfect for some lovey dovey-ness!

I'm up on the Verve Stamps Blog today, too, as your February Diva Dare - Day 6 hostess!  Hope you'll stop in for a little PERK UP and give me a shout-out while you're there!

What we're daring you to do this month is make a card or project to perk someone up, whether it’s with a warm beverage or just a heartfelt sentiment to brighten someone’s day.  No shortage of options as Verve has some wonderful coffee and tea sets as well as a plethora of uplifting/heartfelt sentiments.

I adore the new Verve Stamps set, More Than Love!  It has the most beautiful sentiment fonts!  I used the small "smitten" as a scripted pattern on the long background panel and heat embossed the larger sentiment in silver onto a vellum Tagged Rectangle Die.   There a few layers of Wavy Hearts and Heart Quartet Dies with a peek of the Classy Label Die, too.  A fabulous Autumn Elements ribbon bow and a sprinkling of Pastel Sequin Mix finishes off this loving card!

A cuppa coffee is just what the doctor ordered with this last blast of arctic weather...Be a Barista was the perfect choice to ink up!  The Sweet Treat Tent was die cut and altered a bit to create a library pocket to hold the pixie sticks...then, the Tag Me die worked as a frame for a warm cuppa coffee...and how gorgoeus are those scallop layers from the Double Edge Scallop Border?!
