LOOKIN' GOOD

The Pink Elephant Challenge today is to create a Masculine Birthday card, which I combined with the retrosketches 63, Pile it On #19: For a Teen, and Simon Says Stamp and Show Challenge: A Little Paper.  The Alley Way Stamps set, Deep in the Woods, was just what I needed for these two challenges!

I stamped the bigfoot image onto a piece of patterned paper and fussy cut him out...and mounted onto a few layers of cool, masculine paper...a little stitching, and a couple of embellishments!  Boom!

Thanks for stopping by the stage!

Uniko Studio April Release Day 4

It's Day 4 of the Uniko Studio April Release featuring the new stamp set called Background Builders:  Round in Circles...I'm so in love with this one!  It is truly on of my very favorites; hence, the wood veneer phrase:)  If you look closely, you can see three of the images in this AMAZING set!

I was inspired by the Cardabilities sketch 72 and Just Add Ink 160, Pile it On 14, and The Play Date Cafe 176...a wonderful combination of challenges to display the new stamps!

The design team gals have more release projects, so make sure you stop by to see them:)

Thanks so much for stopping by the stage!  Tomorrow, we will have more Uniko Studio peeks for you:)

Celebrate My BOY - Seize the Birthday

It's time for a masculine take on Seize the Birthday #12...  I made a birthday card for my oldest son, Noah, who will turn 13 later in April!  OMGolly, a teenager in my house...unbelievable!

Hope you'll join us at Seize the Birthday this week with your masculine birthday cards!  A big shout-out to Uniko Studio for sponsoring us at STB this month...

I used a couple of Uniko Studio stamp sets on Noah's card, Extra Time (ultra-masculine, I think) and the FONTiments Birthday (a must-have).

The Cupcake Craft Challenge #235: Cool Men, Simon Says Stamp: Anything Goes, and Pile It On #12: Dots are fun ones this week, too!  Loads of layers on this one...using some new goodies from Basic Grey...the Hey Boy line!

Thanks for stopping by the stage!

Verve Birthday Wishes

Oh my, I think I'm in LOVE!  I recently won a drawing over at Verve and got some new stamps and dies...they are luscious!  How fabulous is that flower/leaves image and the darling heart border!

What better to show my "SMITTEN-ness" than to play along with the Diva Dare-March combining Maureen and Laurie's styles, the Viva La Verve sketch week 1...

the Pile It On Challenge #9: Birthday and Cupcake Inspiration #200 (CIC17) worked well for a sweet birthday card, and The Play Date Cafe #172 & City Crafter #149: Shades of Pink colors and Spring Theme #78 at Ribbon Carousel were just right for a lovely floral design!

I stamped the flower image twice, once with green ink on some green patterned paper, and again with pink ink on pink patterned paper...die-cut the flowers with the coordinating dies and stacked 'em all up with some foam pieces.  GORGEOUS!

Thanks for stopping by the stage!

Paper:  Naturals White CS (SU), Everyday PP (American Crafts)

Happy Monday!  It's time to be inspired over at The Pink Elephant Challenge..with a lovely inspiration photo...LOVE yellow and gray...and a little kraft and white, too!

the Cardabilities Sketch #70 was so fun..lots of details to add...so, I had fun with some of my new crafting goodies that I picked up at JoAnn's.  How cute are those little banners all spritzed with some Smooch?!  I also added a bit of washi tape, see it peeking from under the sentiment flag?!

Better Together

Happy Sunday, stamping peeps!  I was able to squeeze in a little "me time" today and I chose to spend that time stamping and creating projects.  Of course, laundry has to be done, and house has to be tidied, and... I'll get to all of that later:)  First, the fun stuff!

I used the MFT February Guest Designer Sketch as the layout of my creation!  Oh, how I love My Favorite Things, and this adorable image and sentiment from the MFT set, Precious Little Lamb Better Together, is PERFECT for the sketch!

The color scheme that I chose is from Create 4 Fun Color Challenge #70..and they just announced that this is the LAST color challenge!  I'm so distraught, not sure what I will do without this color inspiration each week!  Notice that sweet little floating heart on my card...just enough for the Pile It On #3:  Have a Heart challenge....and a little twine is on the menu at the Speedy Fox and Friends Challenge 143.

I colored the main panel with Copics and added a couple of new techniques with dotting the grass for some more dimension and coloring a background around those little lambs:)

Thanks for stopping by the stage!  Have a beautiful week:)

Stamps:  Precious Little Lamb Better Together (MFT)

Paper:  So Saffron, Whisper White CS, DSP (SU)

We are definitely welcoming Christmas here at the Schafer house! The kids are so excited as they help me finish up the decorations. The sweet image on my card reminds me of our family...it takes ALL of us...even my dear husband who helps me with lights!
My card was inspired by the Mojo Monday Sketch 270, the Challenge 137 at Mark's Finest Papers using red and green...
the Tuesday Trigger: Shimmer & Shine...
the Pile it On 49: Pile on the Embellishments, CASology: Sparkle, the Friends of Speedy TV Challenge 49: Christmas Card, and the Crazy 4 Challenges 166: Favorite Holiday Stamps.
I used some Stampin' Up! stamps, Welcome Christmas, and so Designer Series Paper from a couple of years ago...love the rich colors of the Always Artichoke, Cherry Cobbler, Soft Suede & Crumb Cake together:)
