Thanks - MFTWSC79

Hope everyone is staying cool! It has been incredibly HOT here in the midwest, too hot to be outside, even to swim! If nothing else, the hot weather has given me a chance to work in my craft space and enjoy some stamping time! I grabbed some vintage-inspired papers, die cuts, etc., and whipped up a "scrappy" card for today. The sketch, My Favorite Things Weekly Sketch Challenge #79 over at Splitcoaststampers was perfect to utilize some of these vintage pieces.
I even worked a little (very little) bit on the inside of my card. Definitely need to do more of that!
I added a little tea stain ink around the edges of my die-cuts and adhered them with lots of dimensionals to create depth and character to my card. The greeting and inside stamp were done with heat embossing with Versamark and Gold Embossing Powder!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

wish big

I'm a little behind the rest of you...using these cute little pennants and doilies on my projects, so it's time to catch up! My sister's birthday is coming up, so I had her in mind when I created this "wish big" card. In fact, her birthday is just three days after mine! Almost every year, she reminds me that Mom and Dad brought me home on her 13th birthday, and really what she wanted was a new dress instead:) LOL! I got my inspiration for this birthday card from Create for Fun 57, using Bright Pink, Kraft, and White...
Retro Sketches 18, using two embellishment trios, and the Paper Play Challenge 26 using flags/pennants/banners. Moxie Fab World has a challenge going on now...the Stamp It Cards birthday card challenge:)
Thanks for stopping by!

Good For You ~ RSCC7 & TPE

I combined Dawn McVey's Raspberry Suite Color Challenge #7 with The Pink Elephant Sketch Challenge with this card. Dawn's colors in her beautiful photograph are Raspberry, Artichoke & Celery.

My Big Shot got some great use with this card. I used the sizzlet dies to create the bouquet of flowers and leaves with the Birds & Blooms, and Little Leaves sizzlets. I love those darling flower shapes that mimic a button look! Notice the color spritzing on the vase that was punched with a Wide Oval punch with the top cut off and placed as a base of the vase. To wrap the ribbon through the book-style card, I cut a sliver of the fold to slide the ribbon into and tie to the front.
