Just a Note...Viva la Verve

Hello Friday!  It's Viva la Verve time!  Anya sketched up a fabulous layout for us today, for Viva la Verve January 2014 Week 4!  Grab some of your favorite Verve Stamps and play along with us!

I ordered some burlap covered card stock from My Craft Channel the other day and couldn't wait to die cut some pretty Verve hearts... Jotted Heart Die, Wavy Hearts Die Set and Heart Quartet Die!  To create a wavy background panel, I stitched the larger hearts in a row over some layers of Be Loved Fancy Pants papers!  The sentiments and envelope are from an awesome Verve Stamps set called Take Note!

The Color Throwdown #276 and Paper Issues: You Are Just My Type worked great with the stamps, dies and layout to create a fun little love note!

Stop by Viva la Verve and see what the other Divas created today using Anya's sketch!

Thanks so much for stopping by the stage!

Friends Like Us - Altered Mini Notebook for Reverse Confetti

Good afternoon, Reverse Confetti Friends!

It is BITTERLY cold here in Illinois today...so cold, in fact, that our school and all the neighboring schools cancelled for the day.  I was able to sneak into my craft cave and whip up a fun project to share with you today!

The other night, I had dinner with a friend who was really down in the dumps!  I shared with her that when I'm down and feeling blue, I jot down things that I'm thankful for each day in a notebook.  We made a deal... to start/re-start a gratitude journal and share at the end of each week some of the highlights of the positives in our lives.

This altered notebook is for her...my friend...as we strive for a more positive outlook on life, in general!

For a little extra fun, I stamped on the inside with sweet Freida Fox and a row of XO's from Whole Lotta Hearts!

I hope you are inspired to create something that will lift your spirits!

Check out all of the DARLING Reverse Confetti I used on my project!

The Mojo Monday Sketch #329 helped me out with a simple and fun layout for the front of this altered project!

Here's one last look at my altered mini notebook!

The Double Edge Scallop Border is peeking from behind the red paper panel, Freida Fox's glasses are stamped as a background and sentiment onto Tag Me.  Rows of Whole Lotta Hearts join the glasses as part of the background stamping, and lots of layered Confetti Cuts (Arrow, Love Note & Tag Me) as the focal panel of the notebook.

Thanks so much for stopping by the stage!

Love Letter Reminder & Seize the Sketch

Happy Tuesday!
There's a new sketch, STS #12, up and running over at Seize the Sketch today!  It's a sketch based on THIS CARD I created last summer!

There's still time to play along at the Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge: Love Letter!  The LEAD will receive a $20 gift certificate from DeNami Designs!  I'm head over heels with this sweet Open Box image and Happy Valentine's Day sentiment from DeNami Designs.

I used some new yummy paper that my friend Kim sent me in a Valentine package!  Read about it HERE!  Love the darling shades of red/coral/peach that mimic the pop of color from the Love Letter inspiration challenge!

Hope you'll find time to play along with Love Letter at the Curtain Call and Seize the Sketch...or combine them like I did!

Secret Admirer Package - Thanks, Kim!

Good morning!

Some of the gals from the Curtain Call Crew and I had a little "Secret Admirer" Valentine's Day package swap!  My "crush" should be receiving here package later this week...but, check out some of the goodies that my admirer, Kim Sindahlsen from Joyful Creations with Kim, sent to me!  EVERYTHING I LOVE...and all new to me stuff!

Everything on my card today is from my fun package!  Wow!  AND...there's so much to use that I'm going to be layering these goodies up for quite some time!  THANKS SO MUCH, Kim!  I adore it all and feel extremely spoiled!

There's a new COLOR CHALLENGE over at The Pink Elephant Challenge today...Red, Pink and another color of choice!  PERFECT for Valentine's Day projects!

Since Kim sent me all of these fabulous die cuts, I thought I'd dive right in create a collage of Valentine goodness!  I really like this free-style collaging...takes me back to my younger days creating valentines for my classmates in elementary school!  Remember the fun of cutting and gluing all of those sweet things together for your besties?!

Thanks so much for stopping by the stage!
