Praying for You

The layout for my card was inspired by the Weekend Sketch Challenge #90 hosted this weekend by Lauri Schmidlin at Just Give Me Stamps blog.

I had to off-set my oval and trim off the edge since it's the only size die that I have currently. I have been looking into the Oval Nestabilities, but haven't broke the bank quite yet. If any of you have any thoughts on the nesties, please share them...why you like them, what sizes you use the most, etc. Much appreciated.

The image was inked up using markers, Soft Suede for the branch, Bermuda Bay for the leaves, and Rose Red for the blooms. I love these colors together:)

Stamps: Thoughts and Prayers
Paper: Soft Suede, Bermuda Bay, Whisper White CS, Thoroughly Modern DSP
Ink: Soft Suede, Bermuda Bay, Rose Red Stampin' Write Markers
Other: Big Shot, Oval Scallop Bigz Die, Kraft Corduroy Buttons, Mat Pack & Paper Piercing Tool, Stampin' Dimensionals
Technique: Stamp with Marker

You still have until noon tomorrow to enter my Blog Makeover Premiere BLOG CANDY contest. See this post for the details.

Love your card. I have quite a few nestabilities and I do use most of them quite frequently. The paired sets are a must - scalloped with their partner plain edges, in both the small and large. I do like the ovals as they are hard to replicate with other tools. Well, there are also the labels as well which I REALLY like - the originals - small and large labels are a good start.

This is beautiful! I need to make a card for my cousin but I am always intimidated by sympathy kind of cards. She is losing her 9 month old son due to a heart condition. It doesn't seem like anything will help, but that shouldn't keep me from sending her a card, right?

I'm not a big fan of the new suede, but these colors are gorgeous together and your card is fab!

beautiful card (though i am not a huge fan of the new incolors, these colors work well together). and i LOVE my nesties. use the ovals the most. and definitely have to get the partner shapes (plain and scalloped) yes, a big investment but totally worth it.

Fabulous card, I love the offset ovals even though it was out of nessecity. I don't have any nesties either, haven't broken down. Every time I want a circle or oval larger than my punches I regret that though!

I couldn't live without my Nesties! I feel they kicked my card making abilities into high gear. I have the basic shapes (circles, squares, rectangles & ovals - all in the large size) as well as the coordinating scalloped sets. You owe it to yourself to at least try one set and if you really don't love it, you can always sell them on SCS. Just a thought. :)
