Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge #66 and the Colour Q Challenge #25 were the foundation of my card...match those up with a cute Easter image and sentiment, and my card also fits the bill for The Shabby Tea Room Week #2 - Spring Inspired with Stitching theme and Our Creative Corner's Think Easter theme.

I finally inked up this darling little bunny...wow! The magic really happens when he is clear embossed onto Chocolate Chip cardstock...looks like the real thing:)

Happy Together ~ Laura's #48 & Color Chef #44

A quiet night at home tonight....and I was able to sneak in my stamp room and whip another challenge card! This card combines two challenges, Laura's Sketch #48 at 2 Sketches 4 You and Kelly Jo's Color Chef Challenge #44 with Bright Pink, Turquoise, Black & White.

I grabbed a few of pieces of DSP from the Pink Flamingo, Razzleberry Lemonade and Night & Day packs. I love mixing dsp patterns to bring new life to a card! The sweet image is from the Happy Together stamp set and was inked up in Tempting Turquoise, then marked with Basic Black marker on the feet and beaks. The Scallop Trim punch was put to good use to create some depth to my card and coordinates with the Basic Black Grosgrain ribbon around the center and Vintage brads in the corners.

Hope you like it!

Happy Easter ~ SFYTT

I was inspired by three different challenges to make this Easter card this evening...Jen's Sketch for You To Try, Our Creative Corner to think Easter, and the Shabby Tea Room Challenge #2 required a spring theme with stitching. My mom asked me to make her a couple of Easter cards to send to my neices, so this is the first one I came up with. I love it, but I'm not sure how much a 16 or 18 year old will love it...LOL!

The different layers of Jen's sketch inspired me to break out the Pawsitively Prints Designer Series Paper pack that coordinates with our Build-a-Bear stamp sets and dies. The DSP pack has some patterns that are perfect for a spring/Easter motif. I've forgotten how much I love working with this fun little Easter set, A Good Egg... How stinkin' cute is that hatching chick with patterned shell? The chick was colored in using two shades of yellow, Barely Banana & So Saffron...with a little touch of Pumpkin Pie on his wee beak.

So all of you shabby chic artists, please share some tips for this shabby chic wanna-be? Stitching? ...got that one...LOL!

Have a happy stamping day!
