hello friend

hello, friends...stamping friends!  I whipped up a little pretty for you today...using some fabulous stamps from Reverse Confetti called Peacock Pretties!  Have you ever seen Peacock feathers in real life?!  They are truly beautiful...our neighbors have a few peacocks on their farm and share some of their dropped feathers with us, or should I say with my daughter...Hannah has become the feather collector of the house!

The retrosketches #75 and Dynamic Duos #64 were the inspiration for my card...and I'll link it up to the Reverse Confetti 'Fetti Find contest, too!  If you're a follower, you know that I take liberties on occasion with color and sketch challenges...but, I'm proud to say that I stuck to the pink and yellow with neutrals better than my usual take on the duo challenges!  The gray tones and little bits of black really helped me feel like there was enough life to my card...especially with that embossed feather beauty!

After being away from my craft cave for a couple of days, it felt great to get back and whip up a few projects last night!  Ahh!  Nothing quite like the feeling of accomplishment after a three hour card-making jam session!

There are LOADS of goodies from the i {heart} papers store on my card today...Reverse Confetti's Peacock Pretties stamp set, Paper Smooches' Tag Scallop die, Authentique paper, Chevron Bitty Bag, and Hemptique White Hemp Cord.

As you can see, I heat embossed the feather and the sentiment from onto some pretty patterned papers...just love that effect!

Thanks so much for stopping by the stage!
