Thanks...

This special Thank You card is going to Hannah's wonderful kindergarten teacher, Miss Mountain! She is a beautiful person, inside and out! Hannah told her teacher this week..."I want to stay in kindergarten with you. I don't need to go to first grade!"

Here is a photo of Miss Mountain and Hannah that was taken after the Spring Music Program earlier in May.

Arielle's ColourQ Challenge #86 and...

Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #119 were the perfect combo of inspiration for my card today!

This card also fits the bill for the Forgotten Stamp Friday #22 over at Jessie Rone's blog...haven't used those sweet Tart & Tangy fruit images since (maybe) 2 summers ago:)

Thanks for stopping by!

Lemon-Orange Love

Kelly, aka: schirmcat, is Featured Stamper #127 over at Splitcoaststampers today! I case'd THIS CARD of hers called Lemon-Lime Love. I changed the stamp sets, and colors, but left the adorable layout alone:) My Tart & Tangy stamp set has been a little neglected since last summer...how I've missed this fun summery set:) What do you think of these bright colors? Yoyo Yellow or Only Orange aren't always the most popular color choices for some stampers, but I think these bright colors are perfect matched up with a darling stamp set like Tart & Tangy! I'm thirsty for an OrangeAde at the fair, how about you?...Happy Summer everyone!

Stamps: Tarty & Tangy, Short & Sweet, Circle Circus (new)
Paper: Yoyo Yellow, Only Orange, Whisper White CS
Ink: Yoyo Yellow, Only Orange, Black Stazon
Other: Scallop Edge, 1 3/8" Circle & 1 1/4" Circle Punches, Button Latte, Natural Hemp Twine, Stampin' Dimensionals

Rockabilly Tart & Tangy ~ SC216 & TPE12

I combined the Color Challenge 216 at Splitcoaststampers using Real Red, Basic Black, Old Olive & Whisper White with The Pink Elephant sketch challenge for this card.

The cherry patterns from the Rockabilly Specialty Designer Paper is so fun to work with, especially with the Tart & Tangy stamp set. The cherries have been covered with crystal effects to give them a shine, dimension, and a smooth texture. I wanted to add a greeting to the card front, but I had a difficult time deciding where and how to place it, so I left it as is.

Stamps: Tart & Tangy
Paper: Old Olive, Whisper White CS, Old Olive Prints DSP, Rockabilly Specialty DSP
Ink: Old Olive & Real Red Stampin' Write Markers
Other: Crystal Effects, Eyelet Border, Scallop Circle & 1 3/8" Circle punches, Crafters Tool Kit, Dress Up Ribbon

A Cheery-Cherry Note For You ~ CTD 39 & TECC65

With this "Cheery-Cherry" card, I used the inspiration from the Color Throwdown #39 using Real Red, Basic Black & Barely Banana, and the sketch, Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge #65.

The cute little cherry image is from the very neglected Tart & Tangy stamp set and the coordinating designer paper with the cherry pattern is from the Rockabilly Specialty DSP. What a fun combination to use with the inspiration color combination and sketch!

Stamps: Tart & Tangy, Sweet Sentiments
Paper: Sweet Slumber & Rockabilly Specialty DSP, Barely Banana, Real Red, Whisper White CS
Ink: Black Stazon, Real Red
Other: Scallop Edge, Scallop Circle, 1 3/8" Circle punches, Crafters Tool Kit, Dress Up Ribbon Originals

Here is another quick card that I demonstrated at Libby's workshop tonight. Isn't it cute! It's a simple layout that is very useful for many different stamp sets, inks, cardstock, and designer series paper from Stampin' Up! And, isn't that Tart & Tangy set just the cutest?

Real Red Statement of the Heart

Today is the first day of school for my boys, Noah and Ben! I made this simple card for them to take to their teachers which includes the Statement of the Heart stamp from Stampin' Up. I think the Statement of the Heart is not only appropriate for demonstrators, but also for teachers! Thank you teachers and welcome back to school!
