So Very Sorry

I've missed participating in the various challenges at my favorite blogs. With this card, I used Karen Giron's Sweetest Sunday Sketch Challenge #40 and the Color Challenge at Our Creative Corner that encorporates Soft Suede, Handsome Hunter, Sage Shadow and Blush Blossom. I'm happy with how this sympathy card turned out...soft and subtle.

This Sage Shadow card base measures 3" X 6" with a 3" main panel of Blush Blossom loaded with 3/4" circle punches stamped with the Circle Circus stamp set, and a 3 1/2" Scalloped Edge mat of Handsome Hunter wrapped with Soft Suede Polka Dot ribbon tied in a square knot. The sentiment stamped in the lower left corner is from The Three Little Words stamp set.

Stamps: Circle Circus, Three Little Words
Paper: Sage Shadow, Handsome Hunter, Blush Blossom, Very Vanilla CS
Ink: Soft Suede, Handsome Hunter
Other: 3/4" Circle Punch, Scallop Edge Punch, Soft Suede Polka Dot Grosgrain, Stampin' Dimensionals

Stampers' Showcase

This Circle Circus swap card I made for a demonstrator meeting this past June. The recipe can be found at the original posting. We have a blast at our demonstrator meetings...swapping, stamping, chatting, learning new techniques, and sharing business tips. It's a great time to become a demonstrator with the new Mini Starter Kit promotion...only $85 until the end of August. See this posting for the details! I'd love to have you on my Showstampers team...sign up before August 4th and I'll send you an extra special gift from Convention:)

Thanks for stopping by!

Lemon-Orange Love

Kelly, aka: schirmcat, is Featured Stamper #127 over at Splitcoaststampers today! I case'd THIS CARD of hers called Lemon-Lime Love. I changed the stamp sets, and colors, but left the adorable layout alone:) My Tart & Tangy stamp set has been a little neglected since last summer...how I've missed this fun summery set:) What do you think of these bright colors? Yoyo Yellow or Only Orange aren't always the most popular color choices for some stampers, but I think these bright colors are perfect matched up with a darling stamp set like Tart & Tangy! I'm thirsty for an OrangeAde at the fair, how about you?...Happy Summer everyone!

Stamps: Tarty & Tangy, Short & Sweet, Circle Circus (new)
Paper: Yoyo Yellow, Only Orange, Whisper White CS
Ink: Yoyo Yellow, Only Orange, Black Stazon
Other: Scallop Edge, 1 3/8" Circle & 1 1/4" Circle Punches, Button Latte, Natural Hemp Twine, Stampin' Dimensionals

Make sure you check out my 75K & Birthday BLOG CANDY contest!

Circle Circus For You ~ RSCC11 & SC235

Dawn McVey's Raspberry Suite Color Challenge #11 includes Bright Pink, Bright Red, Grass Green, Light Gray & Black. I used the Stampin' Up! inks of Melon Mambo (NEW), Real Red, Garden Green, Going Gray & Basic Black...pretty good match! I also got a little inspiration from this week's Sketch Challenge #235 over at Splitcoaststampers.

After stamping with my Circle Circus stamp set (NEW) in the three bright colors, I then punched them out with my 1" circle punch and adhered them in a tic-tac-toe formation with Stampin' Dimensionals. I stamped the greeting from All Holidays in Garden Green on Very Vanilla cardstock, snipped it with scissors, and attached it with a Mini Glue Dot just under the button. The faux button has been laced with a sliver of Basic Black cardstock and attached with another Mini Glue Dot.

Stamps: Circle Circus, All Holidays
Paper: Going Gray, Basic Black, Very Vanilla CS
Ink: Melon Mambo (NEW), Real Red & Garden Green
Other: Button Latte designer buttons, Basic Black 1/4" Grosgrain ribbon, 1" Circle Punch, Mini Glue Dots, Stampin' Dimensionals

Circle Circus Swap

Tonight is our monthly demonstrator group meeting where we swap, chat, eat, learn new techniques and make fabulous projects to take home. This is the swap that I made to trade with the other demonstrators in our group. I used ALL NEW SNEAK PEEK items (except the Really Retro greeting) which are the Circle Circus stamp set, Bermuda Bay & Soft Suede cardstock, Bermuda Bay, Soft Suede & Crushed Curry ink, and Crushed Curry Polka Dotted Ribbon. The new In Colors are TOTALLY FABULOUS!

Sneak Peek ~ Circle Circus All Squared Up

The Clean & Simple Challenge #19 at Splitcoaststampers today was a great opportunity for me to break out my new Circle Circus stamp set, new In Colors and that fabulous new ribbon. The challenge was based on Natasha's card and to follow her layout. I love the clean look of this square design with somewhat of a scattered stamped focal. And, you gotta have some yummy ribbon to tie it all up:)
