Watercolored Critter Trio - SRM Stickers

Hello there, SRM Stickers friends!
I'm up on the SRM Stickers Blog today's with a post dedicated to all things SPRING!

I created a quick trio of mini spring-themed cards that are all decked out in watercolor!

The Jane's Doodles Clear Stamp/Garden Friends has the cutest little animal images and sweet sentiments to create mini greeting cards in a snap!

To create these cuties, I simply stamped each animal image on watercolor paper with Versamark ink, heat embossed with white embossing powder, and painted on some diluted distress inks.  After drying, I added a simple sentiment tag and wee little bows tied from The Twinery's Solid Peapod, Solid Denim and Solid Pink Sorbet Twine Spools.

I stacked the mini set of spring-themed cards up and tucked them inside of a Kraft Bag - 4x6 Embossed Chevron...ready for gift giving!

Thanks so much for stopping by the stage today!

SRM Stickers - Oh, Happy Day!

Hello, SRM Stickers friends!
I'm up on the SRM Stickers Blog today with a watercolored take on the new stamp line, Jane's Doodles, at SRM Stickers!

I stamped the fabulously detailed owl from Jane's Doodles Clear Stamp/Wise Owl with Versamark ink and heat embossed it with black embossing powder.  I watercolored the owl and background with yellow, orange and green diluted distress inks and let dry.

The fun part of watercoloring is it allows you to get a little messy, er, artsy!  I diluted the distress inks more or less, creating different shades on the owl scene.

I added a couple of wiggly eyes and Stickers by the Dozen/Birthday Birdie across the top of the focal panel.  There's a peek of one of the Gold Lace Doilies - 4" Round to add some shine.

I hope you are inspired to add some watercoloring to your stamped and embossed images for an artsy look, too!
Thanks for stopping by the stage!

Reverse Confetti Blog Hop - You Make My Heart POP

Welcome to the Reverse Confetti February Blog Hop!

You should have arrived here by way of the amazing, Amber Hight, but if not...make sure you start at the beginning of the hop at the Reverse Confetti blog!

Our blog hop "theme" is ABC (Anything But a Card) Valentines.

Did someone say SALE?!
Reverse Confetti is having a 20% SALE through February 10th!  It's a great time to check some items off of your wish list!

There is also a PRIZE to be won!
Simply comment at each stop along the way for a chance to win a $15 gift certificate to the Reverse Confetti shop.  Comments close on Thursday at noon CST and the winner will be announced on Friday!

To create this simply ABC Valentine, I die cut the Square Tag Confetti Cuts, stamped the Sugary Sweet Sentiments sentiment with Versamark and heat embossed using black embossing powder.  To make the sentiment tag POP, I added a little bit of diluted distress ink with a water brush.  The tag and a paper straw were tied to the top of the pop can with some black and white baker's twine.

Once my daughter saw this, she said, "Mom, I just had a lightbulb moment!"  So, guess what?!  She and I will be whipping these up for her class.  Hannah die cut 24 Square Tag Confetti Cuts on Friday night and now we must watercolor, wrap and tie!

Your next stop on the Reverse Confetti February Blog Hop is our fantastic 'Fetti Friend, Wendy Sue Anderson!

Thanks so much for stopping by the stage!

XOXO - SugarPea Designs Sweet2Repeat Blog Hop

Hey there, SugarPea Designs fans!
Welcome to the SugarPea Designs December Sweet 2 Repeat Blog Hop where we showcase our newest release!  I have lots of love to share with you today!

Now that you've had a chance to add these sweet sets to your SugarPea collection, we're bringing you even more inspiration! Be sure to hop along and leave a comment at each stop along the way for a chance to win $20 to spend in theSugarPea Designs Online Shoppe!

Here are the fabulous SugarPea Designs stamps and SugarCuts that I used on my card today!

Today, I'm not only loving SugarPea Designs, but I'm loving watercolor!  I recently watched a video that Laura Bassen shared with some simple watercoloring and had to try her technique!  This may be my new addiction!

After cutting the SugarCuts - Heart Journal Card from watercolor paper, I added some diluted pink and red distress ink with a paint brush and let it dry.  I stamped the tic-tac-toe image from Classroom Cupids and the bold sentiment from Special Delivery over the watercolored panel, then embellished it with that darling SugarCuts - Special Delivery Accents envelope.  The Sugar Cuts - Air Mail border was cut along the side of one of the background panels and all was layered together in angled positions.

Make sure you stop by all of the SugarChic's blogs to see what they whipped up for today's hop!

Thanks so much for stopping by the stage!
