Curtain Call Color Challenge: Act 16 ~ Happy Valentine's Day

How sweet is this Red Heart Cross Stitch Pillow/Cushion from the chocolatecreative etsy shop? I love these sweet cross-stitched designs...so perfect for Valentine's Day inspiration!

To join us in the Curtain Call Color Challenge: Act 16, simply create a papercrafted project using these colors (or similar shades), post it on your blog or other public gallery (Splitcoaststampers, Paper Craft Planet, Stampin' Addicts, etc.) using the keywords Curtain Call, link your posting back here to the Stamping Stage, and then come back to enter your name and the exact link to your project in the Mr. Linky box. You have until Saturday, February 13th at midnight (CST) to enter your Curtain Call Color Challenge: Act 16 project.

Those who are chosen as Show Stoppers will be awarded this badge to post on their blog and share the exciting news! I will be picking more than one Show Stopper for every ten Curtain Call Color Challenge submissions!

I have been wanting to try stitching on my cards for some time now...this inspiration photo along with the yummy colors helped me take the plunge:) Here's the card that I was inspired to make!

Love You Much

I stitched the Real Red cardstock onto the Kraft card base. Then I layered a piece of Bella Bleu DSP trimmed with a strip of Very Vanilla cardstock that was punched with the Pinking Hearts Border punch. The main image was stamped in Black Stazon and then colored in with Sahara Sand marker. The Real Red Corduroy button was threaded with Linen Thread and attached to the flower with a glue dot. Lastly, the Real Red Satin ribbon was tied around the DSP panel and all was centered and adhered to the layered card base....and there you have it...my very first sewn card!

Stamps: Love You Much
Paper: Kraft, Very Vanilla, Real Red CS, Bella Bleu DSP
Ink: Black Stazon, Sahara Sand Stampin' Write Marker
Other: Real Red Corduroy Buttons and Satin Ribbon, Linen Thread, Pinking Hearts Border & Corner Rounder punch, Stampin' Dimensionals, Pop Up Glue Dots

Jewelry Color Inspiration #17 Submissions

Anyone who knows me also knows that have an obsession for stamping and for JEWELRY! I enjoy participating in other stamping challenges and want to share the fun by offering my own weekly Jewelry Color Inspiration Challenge. The Jewelry Color Inspiration Challenge #16 was posted last Sunday and included a jewelry photo along with the link to the website where I found it.

This week, I wanted to find a piece of jewelry with colors from the Love You Much bundle. The bundle is such a fantastic value with the combination of the exclusive stamp set, coordinating designer paper and the heart punch!

These unique artisan earrings were found at Jeweled Elegance by designer Heather Pierce. These beautiful handcrafted artisan earrings feature unique materials including lovely handmade papers, Japanese paper (washi and origami), felt, acrylic (artist grade shrink plastic), and polymer clay. Aren't they fantastic?

I had a Shoebox Swap with some fellow demonstrators Friday night and thought this would be a great card to share with the swappers. Here's my take on the color inspiration this week (note: a hint of Close to Cocoa in the DSP):

Stamps: Love You Much
Paper: Riding Hood Red, Pink Pirouette & Very Vanilla CS, Candy Lane DSP
Ink: Riding Hood Red Classic
Other: Silver Brads, Crafters Tool Kit, Riding Hood Red Striped Grosgrain

Thanks Hannah, Arielle, and Julie for participating in the Jewelry Color Inspiration #17 Challenge!
