The Cat's Pajamas - TCP Tuesday Challenge

Hey there, kitty lovers!
Today marks a new challenge over at The Cat's Pajamas!

This time we are challenged to create a project using Red, White, Blue Sparkle!  Just in time for the 4th of July in the USA!

I grabbed a couple of products from The Cat's Pajamas that reminded me of the holiday coming up...a 4th of July party usually calls from lemonade and vodka, right?!

I stamped the two phrases from the Lemons stamp set to create the focal panel and accented with a couple of sparkly Comic Balloons explosions!

Thanks so much for stopping by the stage!

Celebrate!

Happy 4th of July!
I couldn't let this special day go by without a celebratory card!

I was inspired by the ColourQ Challenge #248 and Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Shake It, so I grabbed some festive Americana/nautical themed Authentique papers and went to town with some of my favorite Pretty Pink Posh dies, sequins, ribbon, confetti, and wooden stars!  Oh, my...Pretty Pink Posh has everything you need to embellish to your hearts content!

Have a wonderful day of food, friends, fun and maybe a few FIREWORKS!

Thanks for stopping by the stage!

Let's Celebrate

There's only a couple of weeks left before the 4th of July!
The summer is flying by...TOO fast!

I whipped up a festive celebratory card using some awesome Reverse Confetti!

A couple of my Reverse Confetti teammates placed their Confetti Cuts Oh My Stars a little catty-whompus on their cards...and I had to steal that idea...it's so fun and festive!  The Confetti Cuts Love Note was topped with a Confetti Cuts Class Act vellum rectangle and finished off with a Confetti Cuts Beautiful Banners banner:)  The Beautiful Banners sentiment is perfect for an Independence Day card!

You can get all of these fun Reverse Confetti goodies and more on sale this week!
Use this code for 10% off your order:  summerdays10

I'm linking this festive card up to the Lawnscaping Challenge: Stars & Stripes.  There are a few sprinkles of Pretty Pink Posh Silver and Marshmallow sequins to fancy it up a bit more!

Thanks so much for stopping by the stage!

Color Throwdown July Guest Designer

Good morning!  Great news...I will be Guest Designer over at the Color Throwdown for the month of July!  I have been playing along with this cool challenge for years, so I'm honored with the invitation to join the design team this month!  Today's challenge, CTD249, calls for some festive colors that are perfect for a tribute to the 4th of July holiday!

I used an adorable Lollipop image from By LORi Designs called Independence Julie...how sweet is she waving the American flag and dressed up for the occasion?!  There's a new challenge over at By LORi Designs today, too...BLD #50:  Summer Fun:)

Not only did the beautiful inspiration photo and color scheme from Color Throwdown inspire my card...the Mojo Monday Sketch #300, Ribbon Carousel #83: Celebrate Your Heritage, Simon Says Stamp: Patriotic, and CAS-ology: Fireworks helped a little, too!

I colored up the BLD image with Copic markers and layered her up on some fun papers, Fancy Pants Down by the Shore that I got from the i {heart} papers store!  After adding a doily, seam binding, button, twine and a little bit of Stickles, this feminine card is complete!

Here is a birthday card that I made especially for the challenge today!  My sister, Tammy, and I have birthdays just three days apart...mine is July 10th and hers is July 13th.  She always jokes about how our parents brought me home on her golden birthday, the 13th, when all she wanted was a new dress!  I hope I brighten my sister's day a little more this year than I did way back in 1971.

As if today couldn't get any better...I have some more crafty news to share...I am joining the i {heart} papers design team and couldn't be more thrilled!  In fact, I used a few IHP goodies from their fabulous store on my card today.  The patterned paper is called Fancy Pants Trend Setter, and that cute little chevron glassine bitty bag became a perfect layer for this festive card!

i {heart} papers is THRILLED to be adding six new amazingly talented design team members to our current team. We are also welcoming our incredible new July/August guest designer today. To help celebrate we will be offering 6 - $10 gift certificates. Winners will be selected from all of the blog comments you leave as you congratulate and help welcome them to the team so be sure to hop along and comment! Comments close Friday July 5 at noon EST and winners will be announced on the IHP blog the following week. (You must visit the blog to see if you've won. You will not be contacted.)

Plus every month a random newsletter subscriber is selected to win a $10 gift certificate just for being a subscriber. Sign up on the right side of the store homepage. Thanks for hopping along today!

I was inspired by The Pink Elephant inspiration photo and the sketch #78 over at Cardabilities:)

Here's a closeup of my card...can you tell a difference in the photo quality from previous posts?  After all of these years of photo editing, I finally became a PhotoShop Elements user...just grabbed the PSE11 from Amazon Prime this week for a good deal!  Besides, it's my birthday, right?!

I have a lot to learn to get the most from PSE11, so please share if you have any tips for me:)
