Love You Hannah

My dear daughter (my baby), Hannah, is graduating from preschool next week, so I made her a special card to celebrate this milestone. As I write this, I feel the tears coming, so I know I won't be able to keep it together at the graduation ceremony. With it being Mother's Day and all...wow...I wasn't this emotional when the boys finished preschool, what's wrong with me?

Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch #68 was just the right one to get my card started. WIth the addition of the little scalloped envelope, my card works for the Just Us Girls Technique Challenge #32: Pocket Card and the Everything But the Kitchen Sink #14: Envelope.

The sweet little Build-a-bear image from Beary Good Friends is too stinkin' cute, don't you think? By using this cuddly image, I will also submit my card for the Pile It On Challenge #10: Cute & Cuddly. The sentiment is from the Short & Sweet stamp set and works perfect stamped on the side of this little notey note:) The color inspiration came from Rachel's Cupcake Inspiration Challenge #58...love the pink, orange & green:)

Whether you have a kiddo who is, who has already, or who has yet to graduate preschool...join me today, Mother's Day, and celebrate the moments we have with our precious ones. Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day!

Thinking of You

Taylor's new sketch, Taylored Expressions Sketch Challenge #108 was the inspiration for my card today. It's always to mix paper patterns to create a unique background:)

The Everything But the Kitchen Sink Challenge #12 is to use string on a project. I used the Linen Thread on the little birdhouse and branch to give the impression that it is hanging free:) I also used sewing thread around the paper panels on the background.

How fun are this trinket pins? Love 'em!

Just My Type ~ CD 52 & EBTKS 3

I've been thinking about some masculine looking valentine cards for my hubby...so for this card, I did some experimenting. I was inspired by two challenges, the Color Dare #52 using Old Olive, Chocolate Chip, Only Orange & Brocade Blue and Everything But the Kitchen Sink Sketch #3. The straight lines of the sketch and this rugged color combo seemed the perfect choices for a hubby card:)

Stamps: Puns From the Past
Paper: Old Olive, Only Orange, Whisper White CS, Sweet Pea DSP
