You Amaze Me - BLD

Happy Tuesday Inspiration from the gals and I from By LORi Designs!  It's BLD Challenge Day, #51, too!  This week, we're challenging you to use the color YELLOW!

I used the CAS(E) this Sketch #36 as the clean and simple layout of my card along with lots of yellow from The Play Date Cafe #190!

It's amazing how much faster a clean and simple card is to put together!  I thought this card would be super cute for one of own kiddos when they amaze me with something unexpected...which seems to happen more and more as they are growing up!

Thanks for stopping by the stage!

A Canvas - Reverse Confetti & SFYTT

This was a fun card to make...I took the advice of the sentiment and used my imagination on this one!  The colors and patterns definitely make a statement...you either will like it or not, I suppose!

I was inspired by Jen's Sketch for You to Try and 'Fetti Finds over at Reverse Confetti as I inked up that fabulous Peacock Pretties stamp set!  The color scheme over at The Play Date Cafe really helped me think outside the box in creating this card, too!

Have you stopped in at i {heart} papers lately?!  They truly have the most awesome selection of stamps, papers, dies, markers and embellishments!  Head on over and you'll be surprised at how quickly your shopping cart fills up!

There's still plenty of time to get in on my Birthday Linky Party fun and a chance to win a fantastic prize!  Head on over HERE and click through the fabulous entries there are already:)   Prize drawings will be held on July 10th at noon CDT!

Thanks for Everything - The Pink Elephant Challenge

This card was made especially for a wonderful gal that has teamed up with me for special project!  A big shout-out to her for "everything!"

It's Monday, and that means it's time for a new challenge at The Pink Elephant, TPE 205!  Lori drew up a fabulous sketch for us to play along with this week!  I love the alternating panels and place for banners:)

I paired up the sketch with The Play Date Cafe Challenge #187: Zesty...a wonderful summer color palette!  The Catered Crop challenge this week calls for die cuts...you know how I have to have a few of those on my card:)

If you missed my Birthday Linky Party announcement, click HERE for the details!  It's going to be a blast!

I inked up a fabulous flower from The Alley Way Stamps called Tropical Hideaway and paired it up with a sentiment from All About YOU!  The flower was stamped on patterned paper, fussy cut, colored with Copic markers and embellished with Stickles.

INK SPLATTER TIP:  I've been trying and trying to get the PERFECT ink splatter with various sprays and mists and just haven't been able to achieve the look I was going for!  BUT, I finally had a revelation!  Instead of spraying the ink, I open the bottle and let the ink drip from the spray pump...LOVE the bold droplets it makes!

Thanks so much for stopping by the stage!

It's Tuesday Inspiration time over at By LORi Designs!  I used this new adorable spring image form BLD!

I was inspired by two challenges for my card today...The Play Date Cafe 178 and Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 182.

After coloring the image with Copic markers, I layered her up on several bright pieces of American Crafts patterned paper...love the pink and yellow...so happy!
